"You don't have to go to your next class early right? Want to come to the library with me for like next twenty minutes?" I asked Row.

With her cheeks still rosy she nodded her head with a smile, I smiled back before facing the library.

"Let's go babe." I said as I looped my arm through Row's and we skipped our way through the doorway.

I saw the  library  assistant Jemma, but Issac was nowhere to be seen, weird but whatever.

I gave her a nod, "Hey Jemma!" I whisper yelled.

Her face brightened with a smile and I saw a boy from a different class look up at her, a little drool gathering at the edge of his mouth.

"Hey Viv! Hanging out until the end of lunch?" She asked as she leaned her elbows on the counter.

"Yup, I started that Sherlock book you recommended last time so I think I could finish it now or when I come back in a couple periods." I said in conversation.

"Oh really!? That's awesome, how are you liking it?" Jemma said with a big smile.

"It's so good, it was hard to put it down but I knew I'd be in here during my study period so I let it be! I can't wait to finish it, thanks again for the recommendation!" I said with a wave as Rowan lead me to a table.

"No problem!" She whisper yelled back.

We went to the first table leading into the main circle of the rest of the library, we'd only be here for twenty minutes after all.

I pulled out my Audubon textbook and did the make-up class work that was waiting for me in the front office when I got in. A very efficient school I must say.

"Oh right, don't you have Audubon with Erikson?" Rowan whispered to me from across the table.

"Ughh yea, unfortunately." I answered.

"How's that going?" She whispered with a cheeky smile.

I rolled my eyes and semi-glared at her which made her laugh.

"He's surprisingly a know-it-all and that's been infuriating because I'm sure in any other class I'd literally school him." I whisper yelled in response. "How can someone so foul and rude also be smart and capable in school? I was hoping he was a brainless jock, and that would explain his explosive behavior.. but no."

Rowan just tried to quietly contain her laughter, I couldn't help but join in. As our laughter settled down I realized I was crying from laughing so hard so I turned my head to I wiped at my tears and watched as Issac slipped out of... the wall?

He shut the door behind him and if I hadn't seen him come out from it just now, I would have completely missed this interesting feature. What could possibly be back there?

I was going to ask about it when I heard Rowan's next words.

"Well what if you're right, what if he's just a brainless jock at heart and he actually likes you. Which is why he's being so rude to you every chance he gets?" She whispered musingly.

I just cracked a smile and started laughing again, as tears leaked through my eyes to replace the ones I swept away I noticed Row was not laughing.

"Wait, are you being serious?" I asked her, letting the tears flow.

"Well yea kinda." Row said with a huff.

"Oh don't be mad Row, you're very cute and that'd be an interesting take if it was true. We're in school sure but we're seventeen to nineteen years old; we should all know better than to be mean to the person you like. Flirt like an adult or don't flirt at all." I said back firmly.
