Katsuki
"It's okay to be nervous, but I'm sure they'll love you." I lightly ruffle his soft, green curls but his pout doesn't let on. "You don't know that! What if they find me dumb or don't like my major? What if they don't find me right for you and don't like the fact that I'm kind of moving in with you in less than a month?" He rambles, the flower bouquet in his hands shaking as he hesitates to ring the bell.
"Stop doing that. Stop overthinking, baby. You're amazing, beautiful, kind, funny and god damn it they will adore you as much as I do." With a reassuring kiss I press the doorbell in and with shuffling heard, the door slams open.
"You must be Izuku! Welcome!"
"Hello, nice to meet you, Miss Bakugou." He bows but she pulls him in a hug. This is going to be a long night.
"Come in, I'm sure you've already been here before but dearest Katsuki here wanted to keep you away from us." I get a poke in my side. "Shut up hag." Izuku looks between us nervously but calms down when he sees her laugh. "Where's the other hag?" "He's in the kitchen preparing dinner. Shall we sit at the table?" It's so weird to see her like this, but she's nice to him so all good I guess.
It doesn't take long before we're all set and my loving mother is smothering him with questions. I don't really pay attention till she says "You must be really special, Izuku. You're the first person he has ever brought to introduce us to and I can see why. I can't think of anyone better for my son, I'm sure you're a great influence on him. The other way around I don't think so-"
"Oh fuck off. He's great, I'm great, so we're goddamn perfect."
"Kacchan don't say that! But thank you, really. You're both being really kind to me and I can assure you, he treats me just right."
"So, I heard you were moving in together so soon?" She doesn't like to go around what she wants to know.
"W-well yes but not fully! Just some days a week, because we both think that's way too fast."
"Fine by me, darling, don't worry about it. I'm just surprised anyone would want to live with my hell-like son. You're doing the world a favor, darling." Izuku awkwardly chews on a piece of steak and my father just keeps his mouth shut the entire time. "He's alright. I've dealt with worse, joking, joking!" He quickly adds when I shoot him a glare. "You're funny." I roughly pushed a napkin in his face.
The dinner goes well, but I know my mother's thinking about something she'll for sure not say in the presence of Izuku. "Thank you for the food Mister and Misses Bakugou, it was delicious." "Of course, you're welcome any time."
The minute he's back home and I turn to her, I can see her eyes are stern. "What. Spit it out."
"He's fragile. Too fragile. You'll break him." The words hit me harder than expected and I can feel my heart beating loud.
"He's not fragile. What the fuck are you saying."
"Katsuki. You're a Bakugou. We don't do things half heartedly. You're moving in with him while you haven't even told him a single bit about our ways. I just know you haven't. You're not well-minded enough to settle. He's sweet, yes, but go back to those hook-ups that kept you busy and satisfied. It's not right. You need to focus on your career, that's what you have been practicing for since you were a little child. Quit this."
"So what you're saying is he's hindering my future or something just because I'm happy? You're so-"
"I love that you're happy, I really am, but he doesn't deserve to be put aside for your famous-dream. He doesn't deserve to have you come home late, wondering where you've been, reeking of alcohol, perfume or blood. He doesn't deserve to be lonely with you present. We do jobs for the family, we have a business to take care of. Yours is to accomplish your dream and be there for whatever and whenever."
