Aarav was taken to the hospital, his condition critical but stable. The doctor examined him carefully, noting the old wounds and the marks on his body. He came to a grim conclusion: Aarav had been suffering silently in his marriage.
Outside the hospital room, the legal team, led by Mr. Sharma, gathered to question Maya and Sumitra. The tension in the air was palpable as they tried to piece together the disturbing events that had unfolded.
"Mrs. Malhotra, kya main puch sakta hun yeh sab kya ho raha tha?" Mr. Sharma's voice was firm, demanding answers.
Maya, her face a mask of composed concern, replied, "Sir, aap toh jante hain na mere husband ko saalon pehle unke pita ki maut ka sadma laga tha. Abtak usse bahar nahi aa paaye hain. Jaante hain, unki wajah se meri beti seedhiyon se gir gayi thi! Kabhi kabhi itne violent ho jaate hain ki khudko hi harm karte hain. Puch lijiye meri saasu maa se."
Sumitra, tears streaming down her face, nodded in agreement. "Haan, meri bahu ek dum thik kah rahi hai. Hum toh bas use rokne ki koshish kar rahe they."
Mr. Sharma was unconvinced. "Toh aap logo ne itne saal unhe ghar mein kyun rakha? Main jaan sakta hun inke doctor kaun hain?"
At that moment, a doctor stepped out of the room. "Mr. Dheeraj," he called.
Dheeraj turned, a composed smile on his face. "Yes, doctor?" he responded.
The senior legal advisor eyed him suspiciously. "Aap kaun hain?"
Dheeraj's smile widened slightly. "Main inke pita, Karan Malhotra, ka bahut purana dost hoon aur inki company ka legal advisor bhi saalo se main US mein tha haal filhal mein lauta hun"
"Please, aayie. Aapse baat karni hai," the doctor said, motioning for him to follow.
Inside the private room, the doctor closed the door behind them. He looked at Dheeraj with a serious expression. "Mr. Dheeraj, Aarav ki condition critical hai, lekin stable. Maine unhe carefully examine kiya hai aur unki body par kayi purane zakhmon aur nishanon ka pata chala hai. Yeh saaf hai ki woh apne marriage mein silently suffer kar rahe hain."
Dheeraj's face grew stern. "Aapka matlab hai ki..."
The doctor nodded. "Haan, Sir. Hamare samajh mein Maya aur Sumitra jaisi bhi auratein hoti hain. Aap samajh rahe hain na?"
Dheeraj nodded, his face set with determination. "Main samajh raha hoon, doctor. Thank you."
As they stepped out of the room, Dheeraj's mind was racing. He needed to act quickly to protect Aarav and ensure justice was served. He glanced at Maya and Sumitra, who were waiting anxiously, and knew that uncovering the full truth was now more critical than ever.
"Mujhe sab kuch theek se handle karna hoga," Dheeraj thought, as he walked back to the waiting area. "Aarav ko insaaf milna hi chahiye."
Maya and Sumitra exchanged uneasy glances, sensing the shift in the atmosphere. They knew their story had to hold up under scrutiny, but with the legal team closing in, their confidence wavered. As the investigation continued, the walls of deception they had built around themselves began to crumble, and the truth threatened to break free.
Sharma spoke to Dheeraj and was shocked by the revelation. "Iska matlab hai ki saalo pehle humhe jo reports dikhaye gaye ki Mr. Malhotra unfit hain koi bhi decisions lene ke liye wo sab fake they."
Dheeraj replied, "Ho sakta hai. Mamla bahut sensitive hai, Mr. Sharma. Humhe sambhalke kadam uthana hoga. Mujhe toh shaq hai ki Karam ki maut mein bhi inka haath hai"
Sharma agreed. "Don't worry, Dheeraj. Main aakhir pata karke rahunga sach hai kya."
Dheeraj nodded, his resolve strengthened.
