"You have to give up part of your soul," Andrew spoke gently to escape the silence.
„Excuse me?" Jasmin was shocked. What he was asking of her was far too big.
„How am I supposed to do this? A part of my soul?!"
„Yes. It's not an easy process and it will be painful, but it's the only way to save this planet."
He tried to sound as calm as possible, even though he was very worried about Jasmin's condition.
„As Spider-Woman, you are closely connected to your planet. Much closer than any other human living on it. you've been away from your planet for far too long now, causing it to implode. What you see here is the consequence of that."
„So this didn't happen because I interrupted the canon event? Because I saved my uncle?"
„No, it's not. You destroyed the canon event of your own universe and not that of another. So the damage is not great. Your universe was able to repair the damage itself, but your absence has caused irreparable damage. And this can only be undone by a certain ritual."
Jasmin was worried.
What should she do now?
„That's the only way I can save my planet?" she asked Andrew, looking around her.
How much she wanted this planet to be the way it was before.
„Yes, that's the only way. The pain you felt every time was because you were away from your universe for too long."
Jasmin took a deep breath and tried to let his words sink in.
She closed her eyes for a moment.
She had to do this.
She knew she had no other choice.
She looked up at Andrew and nodded her head.
„I'll do it. Let's get started," she requested.
Andrew smiled at her silently and then stood in front of her.
„Here, you need to drink this," he said, handing her a vial.
Jasmin drank it all and put the vial down.
Andrew mumbled a few words she didn't understand and then she realized how she was changing inside.
Everything around her suddenly began to seem purple.
It took her some time to realize that it was she who was shining.
The light was coming out of her.
A purple sphere spread out around her.
It grew bigger and bigger and spun faster and faster.
The pain was bursting her insides.
She screamed.
It was pure pain.
She thought she would die...
And death seemed like a very pleasant thing right now...

After a while the pain disappeared and the purple light faded away. She fell to the ground and Andrew rushed over to her.
„You need to rest now." The purple light in the sky seemed to get lighter and started to vanish slowly.
That is what Jasmin thought she saw. But within the same minute Andrew opened a Portal and they both disappeared in it.
