Jacques POV

I feel like I've been stuck in this position for hours.

It's so quiet on set that you could hear a pin drop. The creative director of my current shoot with Sézane has been very particular about everything. I can tell it's his first time doing a project this big with such a famous brand. I almost feel sorry for him, but my back is begging to be straightened.

"Alain, que diriez-vous d'une pause?" Laurel's demand disguised as a request saves me from another hour in this uncomfortable position.

Alain's nod awakens the once-quiet set and I make my way to my chair. I reach for my phone and check if Kimora's flight has taken off yet. Last I heard, she arrived at the airport and was boarding the plane.

"What's going on with you? You're not acting like yourself lately," Laurel says.

"It's nothing," I assure her as I walk to get some water in my system.

I clearly underestimated her tenacity because she follows me and throws another question at me. "Is it because Eloide has been ignoring you?"

I scoff at her words. If anything Eloide's silent treatment has lifted my spirits. There's another girl that's been running circles in my mind.

"Is it that girl Kimora?" she probes once more. I don't know if she's a mind reader or what, but some slight movement in my body answers her question. "I had some suspicions. She's a nice girl. A hard worker. My nephew's friend actually used to date her."

My mood darkens at the mention of her ex. Since she went back to America, I've been nervous that they would run into each other and he would try some bullshit.

"I know all about her ex and your nephew," I grit out. Laurel catches the vitrol in my words and shifts topics.

"Don't worry. If she is the cause of your low mood, I believe your spirits will be lifted soon," she assures as she rests a hand on my forearm.

I look at her confused. "What are you talking about?"

"Kimora has informed me that she will return to Merin and work until the summer," Laurel claps her hands excitedly. Alain's waving hand captures her attention. "Don't be nervous. I have noticed how she looks at you and how you do her. You two are young, take it slow, but not too slow. She will return to America indefinitely one day. D'accord, cherie? "

I nod at her words. What looks has she caught Kimora giving me? Sometimes I feel like my feelings for her aren't reciprocated, but Laurel's words fill me with some hope. I gulp down the rest of my drink and head back to set.

Tiana POV

I giggle as Henri feathery kisses lower from my neck to my chest. My hands land on his shoulders applying slight pressure to maintain the distance between us.

"What babe? You don't like it?" he asks.

I pout at his adorable face. "The opposite, but we can't start something we don't have enough time to finish."

A pout forms on his lips. "Raincheck?"

I grab his chin, rubbing the light stubble. "You bet, baby. I wanna see what else those lips can do."

A devious grin spreads on his face, " I can't wait to show you, my love."

Warmth arises on my cheeks, "Come on, Kimora should be landing soon. Let's get started on dinner."

He groans as he gets up, pulling me with him. "How's she been?" he asks.

"A lot better but still healing," I answer. He nods.
