I Forgive You

My head was as light as a feather. My right arm was resting on the floor while my left arm wrapped around the small butterfly's body, holding her close to me; my face was nestled inward, though not entirely in an embrace with both hands—a slightly uncomfortable posture that served me throughout the night. After all, it was only now that I began to open my eyes, my vision gradually adjusting. The rays of the sun filtered through the artistic fabric of the room's door, illuminating the environment enough for me to notice Shinobu clinging to me below, her face calm and serene, her mouth slightly open, and her breathing subtle and steady. I clearly remember what happened the night before, feeling a bit embarrassed by some actions and words, but satisfied with the outcome. I'm still surprised... she accepted all of this, being the one who actually invited me. I guess I've only gotten to know a part of her so far... a part that's already very cute. I let out small giggles, staying close to the other woman until she woke up.

A few minutes passed, my arm feeling slightly heavy from the weight of her head, but I didn't move it. I could endure it, and... that moment wasn't boring enough to rush away. In fact, I felt quite relaxed. However, time would pass, and changes would happen, and so it did. Shinobu began to make some noises, closing her mouth and stretching. She moved away from me and stretched her arms upward, making stretching noises and clenching her fists. She rubbed her eyes with her right hand, while I just smiled, admiring her every move.

-"Good morning, Kocho-san," I said with a welcoming smile. She turned her eyes, remaining silent for a few seconds as she stared at me... a notable silence formed, where I simply maintained my bright smile, an important detail being my pearly white teeth.

-"Good morning... Kan- Kanroji-san?... What are you doing here?" Her cheeks began to blush as many memories from yesterday must have been flooding her mind as she looked at me. For a moment, I was slightly confused, but when something very unexpected happens and you realize it became a fact, it's really hard to believe.

-"We slept together, remember?" I tried to keep her comfortable, as a noticeable realization, even audible to me, seemed to click in her mind, causing a shiver to run through her body.

-"I- Idiot! I can't believe that happened." She threw herself back under the covers, beginning to feel embarrassed.

-"Do you regret it?" I asked, already knowing the answer, placing my hand where I knew her head was.

-"N-No!... I don't regret it, it's just that..." She jumped out from under the covers suddenly, seeming very emotional. I just laughed more, remembering the Shinobu from the beginning... I placed my hand on her head and gave her a few pats.

-"Calm down, calm down." The butterfly blushed again, recalling she had done the same, and... just took a deep breath, doing as I asked.

-"Okay... let's get up..."

-"Sure..." I took my hand off her head and got up, walking towards the bathroom and washing my face, as well as taking care of other natural needs. I was still wearing the same clothes as yesterday, so after finishing in the bathroom, I headed towards the door to Shinobu's room, with my hair messy, clothes slightly disheveled, and a radiant look.
