Song:
Feel The Light - Jennifer Lopez
There were no words that could be used to describe how Marinette felt. She missed him. She missed Damian. Damian Wayne. She was his Angel. He was her Demon. Her Demon.
She felt remorse for his brothers, Richard "Dick" Grayson, Jason Todd, and Tim Drake, and for his father, Bruce Wayne, and his honorary grandfather, Alfred Pennyworth. She felt guilt, knowing she could have got to him on time, had she been just a little faster. She felt broken, knowing the chances of her seeing the love of her life again, were slim. She felt anger, toward Talia, for taking him. She felt sadness, knowing Jon had lost his best friend. She was bitter.
On top of everything that was happening, Lila's lies were getting worse. She blamed Marinette for everything, these days, and the young heroine was close to snapping. She couldn't take it anymore. The one thing in the world that she loved more than anything was gone.
Chloe mourned, seeing her best friend like this. She tried to explain to the class what happened, leaving out the part where the person she lost was Damian Wayne. They didn't seem to care.
It had taken Chloe three hours to convince Marinette not to cancel her revelation of her identity as Nettie and MDC. Even then, she needed the help of Dick, Jason, Tim, Bruce, Jon, and Jagged to get her to agree.

Marinette didn't want to go through with this. She had just lost the most important person in her life, due to his mother. At the same time, she knew she had to do this. For Damian. After all, that's why she chose the song she did. It was their song. And she put the video that would play in the background together for this specific reason.
She knew he would see this. Talia found it amusing, the way Marinette cared for her son. Even though Marinette knew she would never see him again, she needed him to know she would always love him. No matter what. She needed him to know that she would never love someone the way she loves him.
"Blueberry," Dick said, breaking her out of her thoughts. "Are you still good to go on?" Marinette gave him a watery smile and a nod, as he pulled her into a hug. "You've got this."
She pulled away from the hug and nodded. She turned to look at the mask, before shaking her head. He looked at it and then back at her.
"No mask?"
"I don't need it," she stated, confidently.
He smiled. "Let's go set them straight."
They walked to the waiting area, where she stood next to Dick, with her head down.
