"Is he mine?"
-a confused and desperate game maker

Lucy Gray stood on the Capitol stage, annoyed to be back to the place she had avoided for 5 years. Of course, the now 22 year old Victor was being forced to be a Mentor. And of course, it was under the man she once loved. She is clad in her usual rainbow dress with her hair down.

Due to Coriolanus's flair for the dramatics they're announcing her return to the Capitol by allowing her to perform a song. One has to be about the districts and the other about the Capitol. And Lucy Gray plans on doing just that.

Just... not the way Coriolanus wants.

Lucy Gray hears Lucky starts her introduction, and the girl takes a breath to gather her thoughts. When she hears Lucky call her name, the girl steps out onto the stage.

She walks over to the man with a smile, when she notices the crowd sitting in the room. Well, that's new, she thought. She continued her way to Lucky, with a fake smile on her face.

"How does it feel to be back after a five year break, Miss. Baird?" Lucky ask her.

"Honestly, it's kind of scary, Lucky," Lucy Gray answered.

"Well, why is that?" he asked, pretending to be confused.

"I feel like the circumstances could be better. I mean I almost died in that arena five years ago. I know what these kids are going through," she answered, causing the crowd to start murmuring.

"I don't really remember much about your games. I'm just wondering how exactly did you beat those snakes?" he asked.

"Well, some people in the Capitol suspect it was cheating made by my mentor Coriolanus Snow, but I can assure you, that's not true," Lucy Gray answered, her accent showing. The people that knew her well would know she was lying. Even Coriolanus. She may seem like it, but she doesn't hate him. He was her first love. Plus, if she revealed that he had cheated, they would both be hanged. She couldn't have that. "I mean, think about it. Would Coriolanus Snow go against the rules and cheat?" She shakes her head. "I don't think so." She paused for a moment, thinking about her words, carefully. "I think it was my singing. I've been told my singing calms to snakes, and I was desperate," she shrugged.

"You took a leap of faith," he laughed. "Speaking of singing I'm told that you have a few songs to sing, for us, today."

"Yes, I do," she smiled. "Um, I need a guitar, though."

"Of course," Lucky motioned for someone to bring out a guitar.

When Lucy Gray got it, she took a moment to begin. "This first on is called The Hanging Tree." She started playing, while she looked straight at the camera, knowing that Coriolanus was most definitely watching.

"Are you, are you coming to the tree
