PART TWO OF THE SERPENT
✥The Rich Girl & Her Bodyguard ✥
She had first told me she loved me at 11:20 as my fingers were busy getting soaked by her. Those pretty coloured eyes begged a man who couldn't love to love her just as hard. Her rosy flushed...

❦Octavio❦ Sometimes love is a kiss on a Ferris wheel when you are a wild teenager, with your hair flying in the air and tongues dancing hoping to bury yourself in your lover's soul. That type of love is what you call sweet love ladies and gentlemen.
Our love was fire on ice. It was apocalyptic. It burned you and healed you. It drove you to the brink of death and then pulled you in its arms to play with you one last time. It was the type of love that people called dangerous love. It skins you of your soul only to leave you with someone else's, it was a mess. It is a sad ending.
Today as I see her in a paisley-printed skirt breathing in the soft ocean air, I knew... I knew for certain that we were a mess, one that could never be contained within just one bouquet of flowers or one love letter. We were always supposed to haunt everything we touched and inevitably make it a part of us and our love story.
"Crap crap crap."
Getting up from my designated place on the curb in front of her house I approached her looking flushed pink as she struggled to tighten the buckle on her sandal. Oh so carefully I approached her, careful not to startle her.
Before I could fully approach her, she looked up and dropped her sandal from her hand, and took a step back. I looked down at the floor of her porch before looking back up at her with a sad smile.
It hurt me knowing she would possibly never trust me again and it hurt me even more whenever she touched her belly protectively as if she didn't trust me with our baby either. But the best I can do is love her with all I have in hopes that one day it will be enough to fix what I had once broken.
"Um, I can help," I said as I softly gestured at the sandal she had dropped on the porch.
She eyed the shoe once more before sighing in defeat and hesitantly nodding. I gave her another smile and grabbed the sandal for her as she sat down on the bench.
I carefully knelt in front of the bench before gently grabbing her swollen foot. I eyed her other foot and noticed how swollen her feet were and glanced up at her as I kneaded the foot that was in my hand. She instantly sighed in relief as her eyes closed and her back arched away to lean against the bench.
"You should put them in warm water at least." She instantly opened her eyes as she realized what she was doing.
"I mean if you're not going to let me massage them for you. They look very swollen Blaise."
"It's fine." She replied before pulling her foot out of my grasp. Her gaze no longer on me.
I dropped my head in defeat before glancing back at her as if my eyes always had to come to find her no matter where she was.
"I love you, Blaise and I also know that you do too. O- or maybe I'm being a hypocrite even thinking that. But one thing I know for sure is that you will always remain within every piece of my being and no matter how much anyone tries that would never change."
"Me loving you will never change Blaise… because love like ours just doesn't die. It's meant to bring tears but with them will always come so much more. There is you… and I fucken mean it when I say that's all I will ever need. There is nothing in this entire world that I want or even need more than I need you."
"You're all I have. You..." I stumbled on my words as they caught in my throat. Not knowing if she could hear the painful anguish behind each and every syllable. And not knowing that made me want to bleed out for her… in hopes she would finally understand truly how deep my love for her ran. It was a part of me, it was swallowing up everything inside of me. It had left nothing of me, all of everything that once only belonged to me.
Sighing, I gently grabbed her swollen foot once again before carefully putting on her sandal. Once I was done fixing the buckle I softly placed a kiss on her ankle, leaving my head at her feet hoping that this beautiful gorgeous stubborn woman would give me another chance at winning her heart one day.
"Me loving you would never change as well Octavio." She finally said as I kept my head bowed while I still sat there down on my knees.
"But a tragedy would always bring back some heartache."
"You broke my heart, Octavio...now go learn how to fix it before you come asking for it back." And with those words, she left me right there on the porch with all of my unspoken words and feelings. And I didn't even finish my sentence. The one I stumbled upon. The one that may have choked me to death in the past but would have let me live with her now.
"You're my everything." I whispered into the wind as the scent of her perfume faded away along with her. Maybe the north will someday meet the south and maybe then just maybe, her and me will be together forever.
