I'm sitting in History class, bored out of my mind.

My math teacher, Mrs. Kingsman, is out of the classroom. She usually does that, and that means most of the class starts going insane.

The stoners, including Olivia, are vaping in the back of the classroom. Some people are painting their nails, the jocks are playing table football, and everyone else is either sleeping or gossiping.

Elton wishes he had this class, but he is in the advanced placement classes, which have harder teachers. I'm lucky my mom decided not to place me in those classes. She said she didn't want me to get burn out.

Anyway, back to reality. "Yo, ponytail. want a drag?" one of the stoners tap my shoulder. "I'm good, thanks." I wave him off and put my focus back onto my phone. I can hear Olivia call me a prude. I roll my eyes at that.

In the corner of my eye, I can see Warren playing table football with the other jocks. His girlfriend Allison Grey is behind him, leaning her arm on his shoulder.

Allison is probably one of the prettiest girls I've ever seen. She has curly red hair, and her freckles look like little stars on her face. She's always wearing goblin core type stuff.

Today she is wearing a forest green and brown sweater with a long forest green skirt. She has a bunch of mushroom jewelry and beads. I wish I was confident enough to wear that.

I look down at my plain blue jeans, striped t-shirt, and my simple heart necklace. I look good in my opinion, but Allison looks so much cooler.

I don't know If I want to be her or be with her. Then again, she's dating Warren, so she obviously doesn't have good taste.

Allison is giggling and Warren is doing a small victory dance each time he scores a goal. They look so happy.

Wait, why am I staring at them?

I look back at my phone and continue scrolling through my social media feed.

As I'm watching a small commentary skit, i feel a tap on my shoulder, again. "What is it?" I huff, looking behind me.

"Wow, hello to you too!" the person now giggling like I'm the funniest person in the world is none other than Jason Harrison. He was actually apart of a trio with me and Warren when we were in the 6th grade.

We stopped hanging out as much when I became friends with Elton and Crimson in the 9th grade.

"Hey Jace. Haven't talked to you since last month." I smile softly.

"Yeah, I know. I've been starting T, so I've been kinda busy with that." He laughs softly.

"Congrats! Your voice is already kinda deeper! Not very, but I can tell." "Yeah, it's exciting." He smiles. "So whatcha wanna talk to me about?"

"Oh yeah! So this Saturday I'm having a get together at my house for my birthday. You wanna come?" Get together is a code for a huge house party with half the school invited.

"Yeah, that sounds pretty cool. Who all is coming?" I ask.

"Amy Grey, Emma Hartman, Eddy Hans, Luke Mabrey..." He lists about 20 more people. "...and Warran and Allison, as well as a few kids from my theatre group." He finishes.

"Wait, Warren is coming?" "Well, yeah. We're still friends. We meet up all the time after his matches." He looks at me suspiciously. "You're still not over what happened?" He sighs.

"Why should I be?" I look away. "We were 12, Warren made one mistake-" "He fed into the rumors, Jason! He stopped being my friend because of the rumor that I-" The bell rings and I shut up.

I start packing up and Jason sighs.

"Y'all really should talk about it." He says as he slips his laptop into his bag.

"It's been years, he probably forgot all about it. We hate each other now, and that won't change. I do miss playing with his ferrets though. Thats the only thing I miss about him." Jason doesn't respond and we head our separate ways.

I can see Warren in the corner of my eye, laughing and playing around with his friends. That used to be us.

NO. I do NOT miss him. He's a cocky bastard and I hate his guts. I gotta head to Chemistry.

...

"I'm telling you, she's totally into me!" I'm at the quad with Crimson and Elton, eating lunch.

"She has a boyfriend, Elton." Me and Crimson say unanimously. "Plus, you're obviously not her type." Crimson adds.

"I look amazing and you know it." He smirks. "You look like a book accurate harry potter. No one will choose him if they have Draco as an option." Crimson takes a bite of her sandwich.

"She's right you know." I nod, taking a swig of my lemonade. "You look like Pansy, Mavis. Everyone calls her ugly in the book." "But she's so pretty in the movie!" Crimson defends me.

"Girls, girls, you're both pretty, calm down." We turn around to see Katie, who wraps her arms around Crimsons shoulder. "Sup Katie." Elton waves while chewing on a chicken kabob. "Hallo Harry." She smirks. Elton groans and stands up.

"I will not tolerate this disrespect! Now if you excuse me, I have to go to the library for tutoring."

"SHE DOESN'T LIKE YOU!" Crimson calls. Katie and I laugh while Elton gives her the finger.

Katie and Crimson talk for the rest of lunch, and I'm left alone. Well, not really. They're still next to me, but I have no one to talk to.

Jason is with his theatre group, so I don't have him.

The bell finally rings, and I say my goodbyes and head to my next class. It changes every Tuesday. Last week I had Coding, so today I have-

Oh shit. PE.
