Why why why why why why why why why why why why-
I take a deep breathe to silence my mind from running off into panic. I'm in my room pacing back and forth.
I can't believe all the shit that happened today.
One: my girlfriend of 4 years cheated on me.
and Two: She thinks I cheated on her with MAVIS of all people.
I groan into my pillow and listen to the soft snores of Slinky and Stretch. They seemed really worried about me earlier and tried to sneak out of the cage to comfort me. But I was worried that I would hug them too hard in my current state.
God, I'm an idiot. Now she hates me even more. To be honest, I don't know if we ever truly hated each other. We barely cuss and fight. We mostly just tease each other. We get along just fine when alone.
God, I'm pathetic. Now we're gonna go back to normal and hate each other again. And Allison is gonna tell everyone I cheated on her before word gets out that she cheated on me first, because Allison always gets word out first.
I feel sick. And now my mom is gonna find out and force me on a date with Mavis.
RING- RING- RING!
I groan in annoyance and turn off my alarm clock. I look out the window. It's bright already?
Don't tell me that my internal monologue lasted until 7 am. Fuck.
I instinctively look over to Mavis's window. Her blinds are closed and I sigh in relief. I don't want her to see me right now. We're gonna have to be at school together though. Ugh.
I groggily get out of my bed and put on some clothes. I go over to the ferret's cage and drop some pellets into their bowl.
I head downstairs where there is a note on the fridge saying that Mom already went to work, and that bob is asleep so I shouldn't wake him up.
I grab a protein shake out of the fridge and plop down on the couch and groan. I left my phone downstairs last night and see that I have 12 missed calls and over 50 texts.
The calls are from Brian and Lance, but most of the texts are from Allisons friends saying what an asshole I am and that I should off myself. What kind and pleasant people. I hope they don't get run over by a semi-truck on the way to school.
I groan and throw my phone to the other side of the couch. I really don't wanna go to school today, but we have a wrestling meeting today, so I have to be there. If I survive the day first.

I'm at school, and there are already people giving me death glares. Allison has worked her magic, and there's no point in telling people that she was the one who cheated and not me. I walk over to my friends at the quad. Lance and Brian are in our usual spot, and when they see me, they run over.
"Dude, are you ok?" Brian pulls me in a huge bear hug.
"You guys don't believe I cheated, right?" I whisper. "Of course not. Besides, you already told us that she cheated on you last night." Lance shakes his head. He's not a very comforting person, but at least he knows I'm innocent.
"We tried to tell people that the girl you were with was babysitting you, but that didn't go well." Brian grimaces. "No one in their right mind would believe that. I don't blame them." I sigh.
"Oh no." I hear Lance suck in a breath. "What happend?" I ask, confused.
"You think you're being trashed? Mavis got the most of it. Allison told everyone about her, and she's now the school slut. They all think you're dating and hate you both. Although, to be honest, most of the guys don't hate you. It's mostly the girls." Lance tells me.
I guess I look confused, so Lance nods his head to somewhere behind me. I look in that direction and see it.
Mavis is being crowded by a group of girls harassing her and calling her a slut.
This is my fault. I have to help Mavis somehow.
"I have to help Mavis." I start to walk toward her, but Brian pulls me back.
"You should probably give her space. Plus, her friends seem to be handling it." Brian points.
Her friend who has a different hairstyle everyday seems to be in a verbal smack down with the leader of the harassers, and the Harry Potter looking guy is shielding her from the group of guys that I assume are trying to get with her.
"Come on Warren, let's get to class. You can talk to her later." Lance grabs my hand and drags me inside. I don't have enough energy to pull away.
