I'm looking into the mirror, staring at my reflection. I mean, it's pretty obvious, that's what mirrors are for. But today I'm staring a bit longer than usual.

I'm in my outfit for the party; A black lacy tank top, a red and black plaid skirt, strappy black heels, and a lace choker and chunky hair clips. My shoulder length hair is in a low ponytail, and the only makeup item I'm wearing is lip-gloss since Jellybean got into my makeup box and destroyed half the contents. I don't have enough time to do my eyeliner anyway.

Crimson lent me the tank top, which is 2 sizes too small, but she says that tight clothes are sexy. my stomach pudges out of it a bit, but not enough to worry about it. My skirt is from a schoolgirl costume my mom had stuffed at the bottom of her closet. I don't even want to know why she had that. My strappy heels were for homecoming, but I didn't go because Warren had to stay home, and our moms didn't want him to be 'sad and alone'. In reality I think it's because they didn't want him sneaking Allison into the house.

Warren has ruined my social life more times than I can count.

1st grade when he told everyone I ate a worm on the playground (The teachers had to give us a lesson on food safety that day)

5th grade when he told everyone that we sleep together all the time (which resulted in everyone thinking that we were sleeping together in a different way. Our moms were called by our principal, and they had to explain that he meant sleepovers.)

the incident in the 7th grade(not rehashing that memory)

and most recently... oh! Right!

This whole damn week.

God, I hate him. The bastard dates a bitch, the bitch cheats on him, and then the bitch sees us together, and then the whole school thinks I'm "the other woman" and I still have to go to this fucking party!

I'm just glad Warren is allowed to go, because if he wasn't I'd stay home with him.

But then again, I wish he wasn't going.

Either way is a lose-lose situation.

I finally tear my eyes away from the mirror and sigh. I look over to my bed where Jellybean is at, staring at me. "Do I look good Jelly?" I twirl for her.

Jellybean just gives me the side eye. "Thanks, so nice." I grumble, holding back a smile.

I head downstairs where mom is sipping wine with dad. "Wow, you look amazing honey!" Mom smiles. "Got a hot date?" Dad wags his eyebrows. I just scoff and wave a dismissive hand. "Please, it's just a party. I've got to go, Crimson is gonna pick me up."

I walk outside and wait for a few minutes. I hear a door close and look over to Warrens house. There he is, wearing an all-grey ensemble. Grey hoodie, grey sweatpants, and grey trainers. The only pop of color on him is his gold chain that matches perfectly with his golden skin.

It's dark outside, and the moonlight gives his brown hair a gold tint. I can feel myself staring. But Warren is staring too. We both quickly look away and I wait.

Warren eventually gets picked up, and shortly after he leaves, Crimson pulls into my driveway. She honks the horn and pokes her head out the window. "Damn girl! You make being overdressed look good again!" It's a backhanded compliment, but I don't mind. I look hot, who cares if the others are gonna be wearing crop tops and mom jeans?

I get into the backseat of the car since Elton is up front. "Hey Elton, you excited?" I poke his shoulder and he jumps. "Er, yeah! Heh." He rubs the back of his neck, clearly filled with nerves.

"You know Angel is gonna be there, huh." I smirk. "Yeah, she an her boyfriend broke up for some reason. But It's looking good for me!" He sounds still unsure of himself. I just shrug it off as Crimson makes a snarky comment.

We start driving and listen to MCR the whole way.

"WHEN I WAS! A YOUNG BOY!" We scream as loud as we can with the windows down and hands waving out the window.

I'm more of a fallout boy fan myself, but MCR is still pretty good. Plus, Crimson's face lights up whenever they come on.

Finally, we pull into Jason's neighborhood. When I was still close with him and Warren, we would hang out at the neighborhood park. Now the park is usually filled with drunk teens and people fucking on the picnic tables.

The party is taking place at Jasons ridiculously large house. It's practically a mini mansion! There are cars parked all over the neighborhood, and Crimson has to park 3 cul-de-sacs away.

Jason may have only invited a little over 20 people, but he is known for letting anyone come into the party as long as they show their school ID to his bouncer. Yes, I said bouncer. His parents hire one for his parties.

We all get out the car and start walking towards Jason's house but are stopped several times by drunk people cat calling us.

When we finally get there, the house has so many people it looks like we won't be able to fit in.

I get nervous around large crowds, but Elton squeezes my hand as if to say I'll be ok.

So we walk to the door.

This party is gonna be fine, right?

Right.
