Lucas mustered the courage to call Ethan, his heart pounding as he waited for him to pick up.

"Hello?" Ethan's voice came through the phone, sounding cautious.

"Ethan, it's Lucas. Can we meet? I need to talk to you," Lucas said, his voice trembling.

After a moment of silence, Ethan replied, "Okay. Let's meet at the Sunken Garden."

They met under the acacia tree where their journey had begun. Lucas took a deep breath, his eyes meeting Ethan's.

"Ethan, I'm sorry for everything. I let my jealousy and insecurities get in the way of our relationship," Lucas began, his voice filled with regret. "I love you, and I don't want to lose you."

Ethan's eyes softened, but he still looked uncertain. "Lucas, it hurt when you walked away. But I understand your feelings. Trust is important in any relationship."

"I know," Lucas said, taking Ethan's hands in his. "And I promise to trust you and be more open about my feelings. Can we try again?"

Ethan looked into Lucas's eyes, seeing the sincerity and love reflected there. He nodded, a small smile forming on his lips. "Yes, Lucas. Let's try again."

As they embraced, Lucas felt a sense of relief and happiness. They had overcome another obstacle, and their relationship was stronger for it.

Together, they walked hand in hand, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead. Their love had been tested, but it had emerged resilient and unwavering. And with their friends and family supporting them, Lucas and Ethan knew they could conquer anything together.
