chapter 13

Han's pov
I freaking knew it....I crunched my nose seeing hyunjin laying on a bench in the middle of the park...thankfully it was covered from above...that was the only thing protecting him from the rain...he was wearing the same clothes I gave him with no coat or the cover....he looked as if he was shaking...my heart broke seeing him like this.
"Hyunjin "i said gently reaching out to touch his shoulder." Hyunjin wake up" I added.

"Mom...dad...I am sorry" he whispered I could barely hear him...is he dreaming? What happened to his parents?
"Hyunjin..."as soon as I touched his forehead I froze" shit he is burning" I yelled in shock.
Without thinking i scoped the other into my arms before I ran as I fast as I could toward my car....it is still early so no one is here...I have been thinking about what minho told me about yesterday and I could sleep...it is 3 am so I decided to go and check the park...I almost didn't find him...and god I was glad because I was wrong...but when I was about to leave....I saw the blonde sleeping on the bench...I knew he will get sick.
"Jisung"i glanced toward hyunjin i was just about to lay him in the back seat.

"I got you hyunjin "I said.
He smiled at me before he closed his eyes again...they were barely open anyway" Even in my dreams you are pretty " he murmured making my eyes widen.
I stood shocked as he went back to sleep...the only thing that snapped me out of my thoughts was when my arms started to feel numb from carrying him for too long.
I gently placed him inside before I jumped into the driver's seat...I need to get him to a hospital as soon as possible.
I tried my best to focus on the road as I kept throwing glances back at him to make sure he was fine.

I didn't care to properly park my car before I ran inside the emergency room.
"I need help "i yelled catching the attention of the people inside...before I went back outside.
"Sir what happened?"a nurse I presume asked as him and his colleagues came after me pushing a gurney out.
" he...he has high fever...he is burning " I said watching as they took him out." Is he going to be fine?" I added
"We need to get him inside..."
"Tell me first" I said cutting the girl off stopping them from moving hyunjin inside.
" as she said we need to get him inside for the doctor to see him..."
"Guys his fever is over 105 degrees" one of them yelled.
"If you don't want his organs to start failing I advise you to move from our way and let us do our jobs...we need to get his fever down...right now" the girl said glaring at me.

Shit...shit...I backed away clenching my hair...this is serious...what if something happens to him...I should have gotten there sooner...damn it.
I ran after them trying to stay close to him as they admitted him into a room.
"What we have?" A middle aged man said entering the room.
"A man we have no idea about his age...his fever is over 105 degrees." The one who measured his fever earlier said.
"Is he going to be okay..."
"Get him out of here" the doctor said examing hyunjin.
I wanted to fight them and stay inside but i knew I will be just on their way.
I followed after the girl outside silently " we need his information...and what happened exactly?" She asked.

I glanced at her feeling my eyes getting teary for some reason...I have never been scared like this in my whole life....not even when I found out I was going to die...I feel like my heart is being ripped from my chest.
"I...I just know his name...hwang hyunjin....nothing more" I said rubbing my forehead.
"He is not your friend..."
"We met a couple of times " I cut her off, should I mention that I found him laying on a bench in the middle of the park? I mean maybe hyunjin won't like that.
"Then where did you find him?" She asked making me frown.
"We are neighbours i found him passed out near my house...I think he was sick and wanted some help" I replied.

"You said you met few times...and he left his house in 3 am to ask help from a stranger...sure thing he has a phone he could have called an ambulance or a relative..."
"Why I am being interrogated right here...it is not like he was shot and I am a suspect...why don't you go inside and do your freaking job?"I snapped at tye girl making her eyes widen that's when I realized my mistake...damn it "I apologise " I added looking down the floor.
"I understand....we will have to wait for him to get up to get his information i guess...I will keep yoy updated" she answered walking away.
I fell on the chair taking a deep breath....how the hell did this happen to him?

Timeskip

My legs were bouncing up and down as I waited for the nurse or intern...I don't even care at the moment to come back to me with some news...it is past five and still no words.
My phone started to ring pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Hello"i said clearing my throat.
"Jisung...I saw that you were online...why are you up this early? You are never early" Chan hyung asked sounding worried.
Unlike the older I value my beauty sleep...he wakes up early to work out and get things done... he is a morning person and I hate that about him.

" hyung I am in the hospital..."
"What? Why when?are you hurt? Which hospital are you in? I am coming" he yelled making me wince and move the phone away from my ears...I already have headaches from lack of sleep and thinking about hyunjin.
"Calm down...I am fine...it is not me" I said taking a deep breath" it is hyunjin" I added biting my lips.
"Hyunjin...the blonde man...what happened to him?" He asked as I heard some moving on the other side.
I started to tell him about what happened exactly and how I found the man in the park.
"Send me the address I am coming " he said hanging up.

I sighed staring at the wall...if they don't come out right now and update me on his state I am going to burn this damn hospital down...I took a deep breath trying to call myself...wait...is this happening to him because of me? Is my curse back? Is he going to die just because I got interested in him? Please god no...no more...i thought this was over....I thought my life had changed....a tear slipped my eyes as I cried silently...I barley know him but I can't lose another person again....i just can't

Chan's pov
I ran inside the hospital looking for jisung, it thankfully didn't take long to find him after I asked the man in the front desk.
"Han" I said catching his attention" any news?" I added pulling him into a hug.
"No" he replied with raspy voice...I was worried when I saw him online...jisung is not the type of person to wake up early and when he said he is in a hospital I almost had a heartattack " hyung...it is happening again" he added.
I pulled away confused" what do you mean..."
"I thought my luck has changed...but the first boy i show interest in is laying inside that room...this happening again...this is because of me...how could i think my life could change this easily...just like my parents our grandparents..."

"Jisung this is not your fault...please stop...according to what you told me he didn't have a house...it was normal for him to get sick...please don't blame yourself " I said rubbing his back....he looks like a mess...I mean he met the boy few times yet he looks like he is about to lose someone he knew for years....loved for years...I didn't question him one bit as I grabbed his hand" he will be fine...I promise" I added trying to cheer him up.
"I...don't tell the others about this...maybe he doesn't want people to know about his situation....I only told you..."

"Don't worry I won't " I cut him off.
"If someone else dies on me...I will lose my mind" he murmured but I managed to catch his words.
In that moment a girl came out of the room...I was surprised when jisung jumped from his chair getting closer to her.
"We were able to finally lower his fever...we never encountered something like this...he is fine now...it is getting down...we are going to monitor him until he wakes up though and prey that the high fever didn't damage his brain" she said making my eyes widen...it is that serious.

"How did a damn fever became like this...I don't understand " han said clenching my hair.
"I am sorry...we will tell you when he wakes up" the girl said before she walked away leaving me with my cousin who started to sob inside my arms...why all the bad things happening to him? He is a good man why does he have to suffer like this?I hope hyunjin wakes up soon...I mean I still don't understand what is happening but he matters to jisung...then he matters to me...
