Chapter 2 mornings (jadens pov)

I woke up this morning at 7:01 am to my girlfriend Jenna calling me and I didn't pick it up because I knew she was just going to lecture me about how I need to stop hanging out with my best friend Tyler and be with her more and also because I just woke up because I usually wake up at 6:30 but I forgot to set my alarm

I then just got up and put on black pants a white shirt and covered it with a black sweatshirt and put on black shoes

I then went out of my room and I greeted my mom who doesn't have to work until 11:30 am and just went to my kitchen and saw that my mom has an application for another job and I said Mom why are you trying to get another job and she said well ever since your dad passed away I knew I might have to work double in order to make sure we pay for our bills and I just said okay ( my dad died in a car accident one year ago a drunk driver ran a red light and drove right into him but the worst part is that I could've been dead to he asked if I wanted to go with him to see his favorite place to hang out when he was a kid and instead I said no I'll just hang out with Tyler and that was the last time I ever saw him and me and my mom aren't poor she just feels like she needs to make more money)

I can't believe it's been a year already I said to my mom and she said well Jaden time just flies I guess and I said I still hate myself for not spending some fucking time with him before he died and she said well honey there are choices in life that we make and will end up regretting them but that doesn't mean that we can change or make up for those poor choices and I said I guess your right mom and just went to the kitchen and just got a banana because I wasn't that hungry and then I just went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and then I just went on my phone and called and asked Tyler to pick me up and he said to give him a few minutes I would drive myself but I just got my permit last week and had to cheat on it after failing it six times

I met Tyler in gym class in junior year we talked and it turned out he got expelled from his last school for punching a teacher that he hated and I said that's kinda funny and we hung out since and hang out a lot to even in school we cause trouble like we get detention at least once a week and we usually do stupid things like one time during chemistry last year me and him put in two elements that didn't go well together and it exploded and we got suspended for a week for it and our grades are also pretty bad because we don't see the point of studying when we'll just forget what we studied

I then walked outside and waited for Tyler and I got a text from Jenna asking to meet her after school it's really urgent and I said fine but I will Have detention for being late to class so you my wait a bit and she said okay and said to meet her at the park at 5:30 and I said fine but if your ass is not there at 5:30, I'm going home and she said okay

Tyler then pulled up in his Honda civic that was given to him last year and I hopped in and he said hey man sorry I'm a bit late stopped and got us breakfast he got us breakfast sandwiches with bacon on them and we ate them and drove to school and we arrived there at 7:58 meaning we had to go to our locker and get to class and so we got in the school we went to our locker and said see you later to each other and I had to go to mrs Eisenhower's world history class first period and I walked in a minute late and she said that I would be serving detention after school and I just said okay and went to sit down and as I was Jenna was looking at me in a concerned way and I just pretend I didnt see it and sat down
