After Officer Wellington explained the rules of the shop and had Emily explain what she needed to do, they were officially out in the streets."What made you want to become an officer, boot?" Wellington questioned as he glanced at his rookie who was driving.
"My dad." Emily was short with her answer, not really wanting to go into detail.
"Mhm. Sounds like a good man." Wellington replied with a kind smile.
"He was." Emily replied softly.
"He-" Wellington was going to say something, but Emily spoke before him.
"Expired tags."
"Good eye." Wellington complemented. "Let's run it through the system."
"Roger." Emily typed in the licenses and a name popped up with a warrant out for him underneath it.
"Light um up." Wellington told his rookie, to which she followed his words and lit the sirens and soon enough pulled over right behind the car.

After a few easy arrests with no problems, Emily got hands on experience of booking criminals into the system and was now eating lunch with Wellington.
"I thought rookies buy lunch." Emily wondered aloud as she followed behind her training officer where he picked an empty table for them to sit at.
"I don't treat my rookies like they aren't people, especially knowing that in a year they are going to be working along side me. I only use my power when needed not when I want too." Wellington spoke causing Emily to nod her head.
"Thank you, sir." Emily smiled softly as she sat down and started eating her lunch.
"But after today you buy your own lunch." Wellington pointed with a sly smile making Emily let out a small laugh as she nodded her head.
"Woah!" Wellington looked surprised causing his rookie to look at him confused.
"I just never thought I would hear you laugh. Even if it lasted for a second."
Emily rolled her eyes, but a smile was present which made Wellington smile in victory.

The day seemed to go downhill once Wellington and Emily were called to an accident scene towards the end of their shift.
"Just go stand next to the other rookies, while I find out what's going on." Wellington pointed towards Nolan and West as he walked in the opposite direction.
