Chapter 22:

You should not sorrow for that which was bound to happen.

Vidura is held to be a paragon of truth, dutifulness, impartial judgement and steadfast dharma.

He is considered the embodiment of the inner consciousness of the Mahabharata. The curse carried by Narada was also transferred to Vidura.
The curse that though he being bestowed with ultimate knowledge and wisdom about the past, the present and the future, he would not be believed.

But because his mother was a handmaiden rather than a queen, his status was always lower than his two half brothers.

The queens were wives of king Vichitravirya – the grandfather to the Kauravas and Pandavas who eventually fought each other in the Battle of Kurukshetra.

After just another day , Vidura visit kampilya.

The fight between Karna and Arjun, Bhima and Shalya, their disguise as peaceful brahmins, is narrated to those present.
Vidura is very happy to hear this, and so is Dhritarashtra, although it’s later revealed that Dhritarashtra’s happiness was somewhat exaggerated because Vidura was present. 

Vidura then decided to visit the pandavas and persuade them to come back with him.

The pandavas, after some decision they decided to quell and agreed to go back.

At hastinapur:-

The sounds of trumpets and drums can be heard from miles.
The beautiful palace was filled with the bustling of maids.
Sun filling and refreshing the environment. The birds , horses and elephants are making different noises. The sound of people footsteps bring a novelty.

Dressing like a newlywed bride, the palace of hastinapur shines vibrantly making anyone go blind.

Why?
Because the heart of people of hastinapur, the pandavas are coming.

People leave there houses and hut , gathering out in streets and throwing flowers in air. Children giggling and women laughing. The hustle of shops and restaurants.
A warm welcome.
Some are dancing , some are singing, some are chattering and some looking at the way to notice there princes.

"Look! They are here."

Someone shout and people turn there face to look at that side.

Five figures can be seen in five horses. There are several servants who are following them. Some on horses and some by there feet.

The crowd shout with excitement as if seeing god. They started to throw flowers in every corner, here and there and dance in circle.

Just behind the five horses are two beautiful decorated palanquins.

One was red made up of gold looking really exquisite.
Other was cover with different colorful flowers.

Nobody can see who was inside the palanquins. But they do have an idea because of the rumors, that Prince Arjuna solely defeat many powerful kings and won the
hand of panchala princess draupadi.

Soon the pandavas reach the door of hastinapur.

At the entrance, Mahamahim Bhisma, Maharaja Dhritarashtra, Maharani Gandhari , Shakuni, Druyudhan, Dushasana, Vidura, Angaraj Karn and the advisor of king Dhritarashtra, Sanjay.

Firstly, Kunti came out and touch the feets of elders present there.

Gandhari holds kunti and hug her. With a smile, she said ,
"Kunti , do you know how afraid I was when I listen that unfortunate news of varanawat. But god bless us that you all are safe. "

Kunti hug back Gandhari reassuring her and comforting.

Dhritarashtra interrupted them and said, " Kunti, bring the pandavas. I want to see them."

Mahamahim Bhisma also supported Dhritarashtra statement.
"Yes kunti. I also hear how Arjuna defeated all the mighty kings of Aryavarata and won the hand of draupada daughter, draupadi. "

Kunti facial features broke a bit but she still managed to smile.
She look at the opposite and signal the brothers.

All the pandavas brother , together touch everyone feet and ask for blessing.

Dhritarashtra bless the brothers and said,
"Sons, where is the kulvadhu of kuruvansh?"

All the brothers frowned.

Kunti look at them and sigh.
"Maharaja, Although Draupadi married by son but the eldest kulvadhu is not draupadi but hidimi , the rakshi. The wife of bhim whom he had a son name
Ghatotkacha."

As soon as kunti complete her words , Mahamahim face fell down.

He pursed his lips and said,
"Kunti , a rakshasi can't be the daughter in law of kuru vansh. Although I can't accept this but till the wife of Panduputra bhim is in the forest , you can consider her as your wife."

Bhim nodded his head towards Mahamahim.

"Now bring the kulvadhu , kunti." Gandhari insisted.

Kunti forehead sweat a bit and she smile a bit.

"Draupadi." She calls.

Everyone look at the side.

A beautiful woman emerge from the red palanquin. Her beauty made everyone blind. Her red attire made her attractive and serene. Like fire but in peace.

Draupadi steps made the sky down.

She come towards them and join her hand.

Vidura tense a bit. He knows what actually happened and what was going to happen. He look at draupadi and the pandavas brother.
"Mahamahim, Arjuna also married to the princess of dwarka , Shreya."

Mahamahim look at Vidura and shocked a bit but still nodded her head. He motioned kunti to call shreya.

Kunti get his call and call in a soft tone , "Shreya"

Now the palanquin adorned with vibrant flowers open. A figure arise from it. Wearing a light red saree with golden boundary.

She walks to draupadi and stand beside her.

"Putriyo , Go and get the blessing of your elders." Kunti said.

Both nodded and move forward.
But Mahamahim stops them,
"Stop , as the kulvadhu of kuru vansh, you all come with your respective husbands."

Yudhishthira look at his brothers and his mother. He move forward and said seriously,
"Pitamaha, we......we all....are.....we all are married to draupadi. "

"What?" That's what everyone expression there.

Dhritarashtra frowned, "what are you saying Yudhishthira? How? How can you all marry draupadi?"

Gandharraj sneered. Here is his chance.
He slowly but loudly said ,
"What are you saying Yudhishthira? You'll married panchala princess?  What a adharama!"

Duryodhan also join him and laugh a bit. Even Dushasana chuckle in disgust.

"What are you saying Yudhishthira?"
Mahamahim ask Yudhishthira slowly and also look at kunti.

Kunti tell them everything about her ignorance and the delema of losing the kuru princes. She try to persuade them , old habits due hard.

They can't even listen to it.

Mahamahim face become distant and disgusted, "What did you all do? This act of non righteous. I can't accept. Nobody can accept. I don't consider your marriage Pandu putraron. You all disappoint me." Saying this Mahamahim left the scene.

Gandhari also frowned.
"I don't believe you all do this. How can you? Kunti , I'm sorry but I can't welcome you all and the newlyweds. I'm sorry."

After Gandhari leave , Dhritarashtra and the rest follow back , leaving the pandavas with their bride and kunti on the entrance.
