Hope realized that Lloyd was right. "If that means we have to swim the sea to get off this island, then so be it." She started taking off her shoes.

"The entire ocean? But I didn't bring my floaties," said Jay.

"Hope, be sensible," said Jeffrey. "You can't possibly swim all the way there."

Hope sighed. "Fine."

Kai looked super nervous at the mention of swimming, but nobody noticed. 

Luckily, the Falcon showed the ninja the way back to the Temple of Light. It turned out that the ninja had to insert their elemental blades in slots and a hidden platform appeared. A huge fighting machine came with it. 

"It is the fighting suit the First Spinjitzu Master used when he battled the Overlord," said Misako. 

" If it worked for the First Spinjitzu Master, perhaps it will work for the next Spinjitzu Master?" asked Wu.

Sure enough, it activated for Lloyd when he sat in the mech. And the Ultra Dragon suddenly came for the other ninja. " I believe we just found our way off this rock," said Wu.

Ninjago City was completely unrecognizable. The whole city was covered with shadows, the citizens were all corrupted by Dark Matter, and there was a massive tower in the middle of the city. Wu figured out that it was the Garmatron.

"But where's the Overlord?" asked Dr. Julien. 

"He's turned everyone evil," said Kai. 

The Garmatron blasted some Dark Matter in their direction, and the team barely dodged it. 

"Look out, Jay!" warned Kai.

" Is that the look you were hoping for?" asked Zane.

" Zane, no," said Jay.

The ninja planned to help Lloyd use the mech against the Overlord, but it didn't work out as planned. The Stone Army went to attack the ninja.

Hope's parents watched helplessly as they watched their daughter try to fight off the Stone Warriors using her powers. They were terrified that Hope might get herself killed.

Lloyd tried to use his mech against the Stone Warriors, but it ended up getting destroyed. The other ninja leapt in front of him. 

"I know we've always drawn a crowd, but this is ridiculous," said Jay.

"How can you be making jokes at a time like this?" asked Kai.

"Hey, if I'm going down, might as well go down laughing," defended Jay.

"If this is how we're going to go down, I'm proud to be fighting alongside my brothers," said Zane.

"Hear, hear," said Cole.

"I don't want to die," said Hope, feeling terrified. 

"Hope!" said Olivia as she started to go to her. Wu stopped her.

"You stay here. I'll go and help," he said.

"There are too many. Look," said Misako as she spotted the helmet. "He who wears the helmet, controls the Army."

"What?" asked Wu in shock.

"I think that Alyssa was right," said Echo. "Why didn't you say anything earlier?"

" It was written in the scroll. What if the helmet is more than just the key to the ? What if that helmet is the reason Garmadon was able to control the Stone Army in the first place? If we can get to that helmet, we could stop the Army," said Misako, ignoring Echo's question.
