A few days later, the ninja were at Jay's parents' place searching for something. Cole asked what they were looking for.

"A jiggly compact compress converter," said Kai. "Or was it a compress compact jiggly converter? Whatever it is, if it can get us back to New Ninjago City any sooner, it's worth finding."

A pile of junk fell on them, causing them to scream. Hope went to check on them.

"Are you two okay?" she asked.

Judging from the grunts from below, Kai and Cole were still alive. Hope helped them out.

Later, Jay made an exclamation. "Hey! A compact converted jiggly compressor!"

"Thank goodness," said Hope. She was dying to get back to New Ninjago City so that she could check up on Alyssa. She hadn't warned her about the power going off, so she was certain that Alyssa was frightened.

Ed congratulated his son. "Ah! Great find, kiddo. Now all we need to adapt that hover-copter's power supply to solar power is an upside down rotter derottermabob and a whiz bang automated amplifier!"

"I'm starting to think they're just making this stuff up," moaned Kai.

Hope knew that Zane planned to give half of his power source to Pixal. She wondered how he was doing.

"I'm going to check up on Zane and Nya," said Jay. As he went inside his parents' house, they heard a perfectly undeniable Jay scream.

"What's going on?" asked Cole.

"Only one way to find out," said Kai.

Hope went with Cole and Kai into the house to find Jay pinned to the ground by Jason.

"Jason?" asked Hope. "Why are you here?"

"Well, I wanted to tell this no-good girlfriend stealer off," said Jason.

"Hey, I never stole your girlfriend," said Jay. "And I already have one myself."

"Jason, calm down," said Hope. "Let's just be reasonable and..."

"Shut up!" said Jason. He suddenly slapped Hope in the face.

Hope gasped. Then she burst into tears and ran outside.

"He... He slapped me," muttered Hope. She was very sensitive to being hit thanks to the abuse she faced with her foster parents.

"Hope, is everything okay?" came Kai's voice. He came to her and put an arm around her.

"I... I can't believe Alyssa's ex-boyfriend hit me just because I tried to calm him down," said Hope.

"Do you want me to give him a good beating?" asked Kai.

"No need," said Hope. "I know that Alyssa won't be very happy with Jason if she was here. I don't need two overprotective siblings."

"Hey! I'm only overprotective over Nya!" said Kai.

"Who was the one that punched a guy for making Lloyd cry?" asked Hope teasingly.

"Fine. Nya and Lloyd. Happy?" asked Kai.

Hope was about to answer when she suddenly saw a crane move.

"Nindroids!" said Kai. "What's powering them?"

The door opened and Jay, Cole, Zane, Nya and a newly recently activated Pixal came out.

"We may not have our Elemental Powers, but we still have our Spinjitzu!" said Kai. He looked at Pixal. "Are you gonna be okay?"

"I may not be built to fight, but my protective reflexes should suffice," said Pixal.

However, when the ninja did Spinjitzu, Zane found out that he couldn't do it.

"Your heart. Dividing it must have inhibited your fighting ability," said Pixal.

"I guess I have poor timing," said Zane.

Jason went outside. "I'm not finished with you!" he yelled at Jay.

Jay and Cole were going to help Zane, but Jason tackled Jay. "Oy, this is not the time..." started Jay.

However, something (or someone) caused the three of them to fall into a hole. If that wasn't bad enough, the walls started to close in.

Nya was beating up the tiny nindroid. "Bad Nindroid, bad Nindroid!" she scolded.

Suddenly, Hope found out what was happening. She and Kai ended up face-to-face with a corrupted Wu. "Sensei, what have they done to you?" asked Kai.

As Wu attacked Kai, Hope noticed that Jay, Jason and Cole were about to get crushed. Nya was at the junk compactor. She looked at the black and blue wires.

"Hope, I need help. Which wire should I cut?" she asked.

Hope stared at the wires blankly. "I don't know," she said. "Choose the wrong one and the boys will get crushed."

Hope heard Jason's voice. "I hate you, Jay Walker!"

"It's not my fault!" Jay yelled back. "I didn't make Alyssa drunk. And I hated kissing her. My first kiss was supposed to be with Nya. Nya!"

"Guys, this is not the time to be bickering!" yelled Cole. "In case you have forgotten, we are about to be crushed! Literally!"

"JUST CUT ONE ALREADY!!!!!" Jay yelled, this time to Nya.

Hope saw Nya hesitating and said, "Oh for goodness sake! Let me do it."

Without another word, she took Nya's knife and cut both wires at the same time. Instantly, the walls separated.

"Nya, you did it!" cheered Cole.

Nya looked embarrassed. "Actually, I didn't..."

The ninja got distracted by the sight of their Sensei. But then Zane and Pixal used a magnet to grab Wu.

"Ha! I always knew those two had a magnetic attraction," said Kai.

"Really?" asked Nya.

However, mysterious stranger wearing a white hood appeared. He rescued Wu and both of them disappeared.

"Woah! Who is that?" asked Jay.

"Whoever it is, they turned our sensei against us," said Kai.

"And if we want to save him, we'll need to find out who this stranger is," said Cole.

The only clue was a strange white scale.

"I thought taking the power out would give us the upper hand, but now that they have it and we don't, I guess the power has only shifted," said Nya.

"Don't worry, sis, we'll get Sensei back," promised Kai.

Jason glared daggers at Jay, who responded by saying, "Just go away! I don't want to see you."
