Jungkook sprinted on his feet, it was way too late. His hyungs would have arrived by now. " Oh shit, shit.... I am so dead... What do I do now ", he exclaimed as he ran past the crowd through the market streets. He had lost the track of time, painting. Things had gone South to what he had actually planned. He just wanted to sneak out just for an hour and sneak back in right before his hyungs arrive.
" I hope Tae hyung would help me to keep my cover ", jungkook thought to himself.
" Where is jungkook? ", jin asked the twins raising his eyebrows . He keenly observed their reaction. Jimin found no words out of his mouth. Taehyung on the other hand felt himself shivering, his eyes casted down to the ground. He felt too angry on jungkook. How could the boy sneak out right after he warned him.
" He had been in the library, training with you guys from the morning , right Tae? ", Namjoon asked, when he found the twins not answering jin's question. He didn't want them to get into trouble.
" Y-yes hyung," Taehyung gave in lying, he need to protect his little brother from jin's wrath which he knew jungkook would never be able to bear. Jimin looked at Tae in horror, he knew Tae was lying. " What is with that look jimin, is Tae lying? ", it was Hoseok this time questioning jimin suspiciously . " N-no hyung, h-he is not l-lying ", jimin added quickly he cannot blow out his twin's cover.
" Is he still in the library? " Jin asked them, he felt suspicious that the boys were lying to him and felt his anger raising. If so he was sure going to punish the three of them badly once the ball gets over.
Taehyung felt very scared, he was trembling, why did jungkook have to sneak out and put them all into trouble , "y-yes hyung ", he said ; he hoped that jungkook would magically appear out of nowhere.
" Go, fetch him ", Jin ordered Tae. Taehyung felt his feet glued to the ground. He suddenly wished he could disappear right into air. How was he supposed to fetch jungkook when he was not in the whole damn palace .
Tae mentally prepared himself to be doomed and turned around when they all spotted jungkook walking out of the palace doors, " I am sorry, I am late hyungs ", jungkook spoke breathlessly. "I had been training so focused and did not notice your arrival ", he quickly added.
Jin looked at him suspiciously " You sure had been training right? ", he asked him. " Yes hyung ", jungkook said confidently, he cannot afford to get caught.
" Alright ", Jin said and turned back to Namjoon, " Get the council members ready in the courtroom, we need to have a meeting now. " Jin said and walked into the palace doors with a number of maids walking behind him with their heads low. Namjoon walked in as well, he had been busy all day ; Hoseok walked in right behind Namjoon he surely needed a warm shower and a good rest for now.
This left only the youngest three and yoongi. The twins smiled at him beamingly and sprang on him, hugging him tightly. " We missed you sooooooooo muchhhhhhh hyung ", Jimin said dramatically and kissed yoongi on his cheeks ; " Ewww stop it jimin ", yoongi rubbed his cheeks where jimin had kissed him. " Let go of me, brats ", he said chukling at the boys who were hanging on his neck.
" How have you been my little troublemakers? " Yoongi asked them caressing their cheeks ; " We were so happy not hearing your nagging for a while ", jimin said which earned him a light smack from yoongi. " You were just being so dramatic about missing me not even five seconds ago ", yoongi said playfully.
" Have you guys finished your lunch?", yoongi asked them. Tae shook his head as no, " Go ahead and have your lunch ", I will be right after you, yoongi said eyeing jungkook who was standing a little away from them ; he was looking too down, all gloomy and guilty.
The twins sensed that their hyung had found about jungkook sneaking out and decided to move ahead. Tae felt way too angry for feeling bad for him. On the other hand jimin felt the need to comfort jungkook and placed his hand on jungkook 's shoulder assuring him that everything was going to be alright, before walking away.
Yoongi came near jungkook and took a moment to look at the boy ; yoongi could not wait to hug him but for now he should be stern with jungkook for his own good. " Go to my room and wait for me there ,we need to talk, okay ."yoongi said to him.
Jungkook nodded his head slowly and walked ahead looking down.
