The next day, at the academy, Sherry was in her study room, thinking to herself as she looked out of the window. Sherry sighed before looking at the box of chocolates she'd received from (Y/N).
She took one of the chocolates out of the box and looked at it before thinking back to what her father had said to her yesterday.
"He must really care about you to give you such a gift, don't you think? That's what we call 'love at first sight'. I'm sure he's waiting for you to respond in some way."
Sherry then ate one of the chocolates.
"It's so good...."

It was now the end of the day, (Y/N) and Cid were among the students walking to their dormitories.
"Hey bro, what you got there?" Cid asked, noticing the paper in his brother's hand.
"It's the registration form for the next Bushin Festival tournament. I intend to sign up for it in order to get a good analysis of my classmates' strength." (Y/N) replied.
"Oh cool, I guess."
"Also... I didn't expect to see you here, Nu." Said Cid's older brother, looking at the Shadow Garden recruit wearing the academy uniform.
"H-Hello, sir."
"Oh, I didn't know you went to school here." Said Cid.
"No, I borrowed these clothes. I'll attract less attention in uniform." She explained.
"Eh, that makes sense." Says Cid.
"So, what do you need to talk to us about...?" (Y/N) asked.

(Y/N), Cid and Nu were sitting on a bench on the other side of campus.
"I've learned more about the man in black we apprehended last night. As we expected, the brainwashing destroyed his mind." Nu explained.
"Uh huh..." Cid asked in a puzzled tone.
"I see, please continue, Nu."
"This is a common trait of the Cult of the Diablos. From their vanguard they call The 3rd Children. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I tried, it was impossible to get any more information." she explained.
"Oh yeah..." Cid sighed.
"You did everything you could, Nu. That's all that matters. I'll ask Shade to search the town for other cult members." Said (Y/N).
"His costume was obtained via the black market, which made it impossible for the Cult to originate."
"Hold on. I want to know more about the 3rd Children. Where do they come from?" (Y/N) ordered.
"Of course, my lord. They take orphans with magical abilities and children from poor families, then medicate and brainwash them. To create Les Enfants de Diablos. The sect has been doing this for many years."
"I'm not surprised. Kidnapping children sounds a lot like something a cult would do."
"I suspect the cult's goal is to use the Shadow Garden name to lure us out of hiding."
"I really don't need it right now, I'm simply not going to do it." Says Cid.
"They expect us to take the bait. I don't intend to let them think we're going to bite." Said (Y/N).
"I understand, my masters. However, I think I should also inform you that we've just found our first named child in the royal capital."
