The Midgar Academy for Dark Knights was now the target of a terrorist attack perpetrated by impostors claiming to belong to Shadow Garden. In (Y/N)'s class, Rose Oriana would have been the first to be killed.

If (Y/N) hadn't saved her, he'd take the blame.

"(Y/N)....Kagenou..." Said Rose as she dropped to her knees and lifted him up a little to hold him. "You fool! Why did you get in front of me?!"

"I... wasn't... going... to... stay... in... the... shadows... and... let... a... princess... die..."

With that, the light in (Y/N)'s eyes faded as his body lay motionless before Rose, who was beginning to shed tears over his body.

"You idiot." Rose moaned as the Cultist pointed his sword at Rose's face.

"We're going to the auditorium." He said. "If you don't want to end up like him, you'll get by without a fight."

Knowing she couldn't fight them, Rose submitted to his request. But not before taking one last look at (Y/N).

"Thank you, (Y/N) Kagenou."

Rose and the students in (Y/N)'s class were all led out of the school and into the auditorium with the rest of the school's students, where they were now hostages.

Back in the classroom, Kisara and Shade stepped out of (Y/N)'s shadow, inspecting to make sure they were the only ones in the room.

"The way is clear. You may rise now, master." Shade said.

Hearing this, (Y/N) began to rise from the ground.

"Thank you." He said in a slightly tired voice.

"My lord! Please, don't put yourself in danger like that again! I don't think my heart can take it!" Said Kisara.

"Oh, you're no fun. What about the drama?" (Y/N) asked rhetorically. "Now, come my friends. We've got work to do."

In the Academy's science building, several masked men could be seen outside, ready to invade.

Absorbed in her search for artifacts, Sherry was unaware of all that was going on around her.

Suddenly, her bedroom window shattered as someone broke in, much to Sherry's shock.

"We're Shadow Garden, kid. Wait, maybe we call ourselves the Shadow Guardians...? Well, never mind. My name's Rex. I'm The Great Betrayal Game, Rex. And my job is to recover the artifact pendant. But when I'm done, my boss says I can do as much damage as I want! Hey. I can read you like a book, that really helps. Thanks a lot little lady!"

Rex drew his swords and was about to kill Sherry, until the door opened and a Purple Order knight named Glen blocked his attack.

"Oh no, you don't!!!" Said Glen before pushing Rex back while protecting Sherry.

"Not bad for a guy who doesn't know how to use his magic!" Complimented Rex.

"Magic isn't the only important thing. When your opponent is weaker, it's easy to parry his attacks!" Glen retorted.

"When your opponent is weaker, eh? Héhéhéhé." Rex said before laughing. "So you think you can overpower me, you asshole...?"

"Oh yes, I can."

"Ha! Then I guess I'll ask your name." Rex said.

"Glen, Lion's Mane, Vice-Commander of the Purple Order. Marco!"

"Yes sir! Now Sherry, this is your chance!" Said the man named Marco.

While Marco and Glen kept the cultists busy, Sherry managed to flee the scene with the artifact.
