THEY ARE RIGHT. A secret was buried deep within SHIELD. Phase Two. Tony was absolutely flabbergasted. Of course he thought it was amusing he had caught the great Nick Fury in a lie. Doctor Banner kept smiling, leaning back in a table as he read every bit of information on the screen. And Anne? She thought this was comedic. Once again, she found out that no spy could be trusted. Along with Banner, she tried to read everything in the monitor. She wanted to know every secret he tried to hide.
"What are you doing Mr. Stark?"
A loud voice announced. Everyone immediately lightened up when they knew it belonged to the man of the ship: Nick Fury. Once he walked in, his eyes scanned across the three scientists until they landed on Anne's doe eyes. It hit him like a bullet. When the man saw the betrayal behind her eyes and how she was not surprised, he realized what they had discovered. He knew back in the main area that they indeed stumbled on Phase Two, but it was confirmed when he took one glance at Anne.
"Uh- kind of been wondering the same about you." The billionaire retorted. His eyes suspiciously squinted at the director.
Fury ignored the comment. "You're suppose to be locating the tesseract."
"We are. The models locked and we are sweeping for the signature now." Doctor Banner pointed to the back where a monitor hung low. A planet was pictured across it with a red line sweeping it. "When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile."
"And you'll get your cube back. No muss. No fuss." Suddenly, the screen hung in front of the three scientists lit up. A red box outlined two words: Phase Two. "What is Phase Two?"
Anne gazed ahead. A tall blonde clad in red, white, and blue walked into the room. The same hint of betrayal that was in Anne's eyes was painted in beautiful colors across his eyes. He looked over to Anne, the two shared a mutual understanding. In his hands was a machine gun. Just another thing to prove that Nick Fury had lied.
"Phase Two is SHIELD using the cube to make weapons." The gun Steve held clattered against the metal table loudly. He turned over to the gladden billionaire, nodding over to him. "Sorry; computer was moving a little slow for me."
"Rogers-" Fury slowly treaded over to the captain. "We gathered everything related to the tesseract. This does not mean that-" His deceiving was put on pause when Tony interrupted him.
"I'm sorry, Nick." As he intruded him, Tony hopped off the table, flipping the monitor over so that both the soldier and the director could see the writing clearly. A plan. For a missile. "What were you lying?" He retorted.
