THE CAPTAIN AND ANNE SPARED A GLANCE TO EACHOTHER. It wasn't until the former nodded his head when the girl began to become confused. He inched closer to the woman, and placed his hands on her waist. This isn't the time for dancing! That's when the Captain squeezed her closer to him, their bodies pressed together. Anne was going to say something sarcastic, like 'this is hardly the time to get romantic'. But, she barely had any time when Steve threw himself, along with Anne glued to his chest, down below the bridge.

With a terrifying scream, the two rolled dropped down on a bus that caught their fall. It was far from over though. More aliens flew through and caught notice of the red, white, and blue man along with a woman clad in white. They began to fire their missiles at them, but the captain was too quick. Letting go of his grip of  Anne, the two ran towards the ground. When the fire tickled their arms and the skin and as they neared the end of the bus, the captain jumped off with Anne closely following him. Fire raged behind them as everything blew up.

Steve glanced backwards towards the woman, noticing the ships heading in closer to them. His hand quickly gripped her own, and just at the right time. The blasts shot towards their feet, causing the bus underneath them to blow up. It sent up the two people in the air, swinging their legs back and forth at the sudden impact. Their legs ended up on top of the yellow taxi which ended up blowing up due to the impact of the bus blowing up. Lots of blowing up. Anyways, just when Anne thought her life was safe and when she felt the man loose grip of her palm, she felt the side of her back burn. The aliens kept blasting towards the captain and the woman, leaving no mercy.

As they continued to run, the two jumped over any cars, any obstacle courses. When the aliens ventured too close, Steve would pull harder to get Anne away from danger. She would thank him, but the growing pain and the red to show it was growing rapidly. It made her a little annoyed, but she's not dead thanks to him. Right? The aliens didn't care if the both of them died. In fact, they had changed from their fiery, yellow blasts to sharp blue bullets. Was it worse than before? I'm not sure. But, it still made Anne fear it.

The two soon came to the center of this war. Police men were scattered throughout, panic expressions being worn. Their little bullets did nothing against the alien tech. It was clear that this was way out of their pay grade, and they weren't exactly trained for these circumstances. They were busy trying to fend themselves from the aliens while others were busy bringing civilians to safety. And oh the civilians. It made both the Captain and Anne tremble at the sight of them. Their screams of pure terror, some even belonging to infants who seemed like they were separated from their parents. Anne didn't waste a second before she ran to a group of three children huddled underneath damaged taxi, falling apart.
