I rinse the soap off the cup as I set it on the clean side of the sink, a tired sigh escapes my lips. I have no idea what I'm going to do now that I'm no longer working at the hospital, maybe I could get back into the business field and ask Liliana or Lucia if they have an open spot in their company.
I turn the faucet off as the doorbell rings, I remove the rubber gloves and walk over to the door. I unlock the door, "What are you doing here?" My tone filled with anger. Adeline stood there in a tight blue mini-dress with a black fur coat and sunglasses, "Hello darling, is that any way to treat a guest." Her voice was annoyingly filled with cockyness. I crossed my arms not bothering to invite her inside, "To unwanted guests yes." I said. Adeline scoffs, "I'm only here to talk to you." She says removing her sunglasses and revealing those piercing blue eyes.
"Talk? There's nothing to about," I said getting ready to close the door on her, "Yes there is." Adeline says. I open my mouth to say something only to be interrupted by Seungcheol walking out of the elevator. I look at Adelina, "What are you doing here?" Seungcheol's tone bone-chilling malice. His back facing me as Adeline steps back, "I'm here on behalf of your Aunt Sekyung." She says. Seungcheol scoffs, "You have no right to come and bother Mitxy, leave," He says. I look at Seungcheol. His eyes were dark and filled with anger, my gaze fell on his clenched fist. "I was only here to give a warning darling. Don't get riled up," Adeline says with a wink and smirks before walking off.
I look at Seungcheol as Adeline steps into the elevator, "Warn me? What is she trying to warn me about?" I asked. Seungcheol exhales sharply as he faces me, "That's why I'm here...we need to talk." He says, I let him in. We walk into the kitchen, "My aunt is trying to sabotage the upcoming will reading, Mitxy...my aunt will do anything to make sure I'm not on my grandfather's will." He explains. I bite my bottom lip and look at him, "To what extent?" I asked. Seungcheol's brows furrowed as he bites his lip, "To the point where she'll—" He pauses and grips the counter.
"To the point where she'll use Adeline against me, she'll release to the press false statements about my business, she'll use...you against me." He says lifting his gaze from the countertop to me, I let out a small sigh. "This is not happening." I muttered, "Como puedo se estupida." I murmured and began to paced in the kitchen. "Pero no, ai voy como una estupida queriendo estar en buenos terminos con el." I let out and turned to face him, "Que vas a hacer? —I mean what are you going to do?" I asked.
Seungcheol looks at me, "I still—I need your help in order for this plan to be a success." He says. I bite my bottom lip and lean back against the sink, "My help?" I asked. "Help with what exactly? And what exactly are you planning to do?" I asked, feeling skeptical about this.
I let a sigh leave my lips as Seungcheol makes his way around the counter, I tilt my head back a little to get a better view of him as he stands before me.
My heart could give out as his Tom Ford cologne reached my nostrils, and the way his eyes show his determination and anger. He places his hands on the sink, trapping me. "I know that we—you can't stand me... but this will be the last favor I ask of you." His voice was stern and seductive. I gulp, "A...and what favor are you asking for now?" I asked. I look into his eyes, my heart skips a beat as that stupid smirk of his forms. "How does the idea of you becoming the future Mrs. Choi sound like?" He says and bites his bottom lip, I furrowed my brows at him. My cheeks were flushed with red, "W...what?" I asked.
He laughs, god why does he look so good like this? "I'm only kidding Mitxy," Seungcheol says and smiles. "That's plan b if the first plan doesn't succeed." He says, I bite my lip and shake my head. "Not funny Choi Seungcheol, that sort of question isn't something to joke around with," I said, if that was his original plan I would not hesitate to agree. Merely because I wouldn't have to worry about not finding a job if I were by Seungcheol's side as his soon-to-be wife then I would have various job offers within the medical field.
Seungcheol lets out a sharp exhale, "First things first, my parents always throw Halloween parties to raise for charity. And since the fundraising for Youth's Education is this upcoming week, you'll be accompanying me as my date." He says. A charity Halloween party mhm, I didn't know rich people do that.
I scratch my brow as I find myself mentally agreeing, "Halloween? I mean, will we be there for two hours prox or all night?" I asked. Jihoon and I have a weird habit of throwing in a projector horror movie screening at his place with Joshua and Soonyoung, I hope this event won't affect my already planned Halloween night.
Seungcheol crosses his arms, "We'll only be there for two hours maybe less, I know that you might have plans for that night but don't worry." He says with a small smile. I sigh and give him a small smile, "Alright then, I guess this means you're going to drag me into another shopping spree?" I asked crossing my arms. Seungcheol chuckles, "Yep," He says leaning back against the counter.
We'll both benefit from this strategy, he gets to stay on his grandfather's will as the rightful heir, and I get to be known as his 'girlfriend' from the medical field. Which will help me get at least one job offer, hopefully.
