Varenya's Pov:
After arriving home, I practically dragged myself inside, feeling every ounce of exhaustion settle into my bones. The moment my bedroom door clicked shut behind me, I let out a long sigh and dropped my bag onto the chair beside my desk.
What.
A.
Day.
Without wasting another second,I took a shower and changed out of my office clothes and into my favorite oversized pajamas. The soft fabric instantly felt like heaven against my skin after spending hours trapped in formal wear. For the first time since morning, my shoulders relaxed.
I walked over to my mirror, taking one look at my reflection before groaning dramatically.
My hair was a mess.
My feet hurt.
My patience had been tested beyond human limits.
And the reason behind all of it had one name.
Yuvan Singhania.
"Insufferable man!" I muttered to myself.
A few minutes later, the aroma of dinner drifted through the house, pulling me out of my room. By the time I reached the dining table, Madhu was already waiting.
The sight of her warm smile instantly softened some of the tension knotted inside me.
Dinner was simple, peaceful, and exactly what I needed after the chaos of the day. Madhu and i chatted casually about random things and i tried to focus on anything other than work.
For a little while, it worked.
The comfort of home, the familiar atmosphere, and the warmth of the food helped ease the exhaustion weighing on me.
But unfortunately, my brain had other plans.
Every few minutes, memories from the office resurfaced.
His impossible deadlines.
His constant orders.
His irritatingly calm expressions.
The way he somehow always seemed three steps ahead of everyone else.
Even when I wasn't looking at him, the man managed to occupy my thoughts.
Annoying.
After dinner, I helped clear the table before retreating back to my room.
The second I closed the door, I grabbed my phone and immediately called Tejal.
She picked up almost instantly.
"Survived your first day?" she asked dramatically.
