Yuvan's POV:
"How was your day?" Dad asked as soon as everyone settled down for dinner.
"Good," I replied simply, taking a sip of water.
A smirk immediately appeared on Archit's face.
"By the look on his face, I'd say it was very good."
He wiggled his eyebrows suggestively.
I shot him a flat look.
Even though he wasn't entirely wrong, I wasn't about to entertain him.
"What happened?" Chitra chachi asked curiously.
Archit looked as though he'd been waiting for this exact question.
"Nothing much. Just our dear Yuvan bhai humbling himself in front of the new employee today."
A slow grin spread across Myra's face.
Unfortunately, she happened to know a tiny piece of information regarding that particular matter.
Across the table, Yukti immediately straightened.
"Wait." Her eyes widened.
"What happened?"
"Exactly!" Archit pointed dramatically.
"Tell us. We all deserve to hear this story."
Myra bit back a smile, Archit leaned forward eagerly, Yukti looked ready for gossip.
Before any of them could say a word-
I again lifted my eyes from my plate.
Just one glare. That's all it took.
As soon as Archit's words registered in my mind, a faint smirk tugged at my lips. My thoughts drifted back to the office-and to her.
IN EVENING AT OFFICE
"May I come in, sir?" Hearing the knock and the familiar voice I let out a cold, "Yes." Divya finance department manager, She walked in with few files, "Finance department is back to track sir, the employees are doing great and here are the decodes of 2023-2025." Stepping closer to, she placed all the files on the left side.
"May I come in." There she is before I could say anything I heard her once again, "Sir" A chuckle was so close to leaving my lips,"Yes.." I answered her and soon the door opened as she walked in holding a cup of coffee, her eyes landed on Divya before turning to me.
