LIVING IN A HOTEL ROOM ISNT IDEAL at least for madelyn smith. the girl has been staying in over priced hotel room since finding her boyfriend and best friend in bed together for a whole month already. it was starting to get annoying with her stuff all over the place. living in monaco is expensive, she couldn't afford a place by herself with her salary from the clinic she worked at. so she started searching for people looking for roommates. not much responsed when she told them she was pregnant because that meant a baby would also eventually be moving in.

running out of options the girl started to message anyone she didn't care anymore. before she was only messaging females but that wasn't working. in one she was so fed up with everything she just went in a full rant explaining her whole story then she felt stupid and was about to block the number when the persom replied with the address.

of course she was a scared that the person was actually going to kill her but she'd been staying at the hotel long enough. the girl looked at herself in the mirror, she didn't have a bump yet but she smiled softly at herself. even if she wasn't prepared financially for the baby she was mentally and she'd always wanted to be a mother. she wanted nothing to do with callum, nothing to do with him. he obviously wasn't ready to be a father especially with madelyn so she wasn't going to tell him and he hurt her so badly that even if he was ready he didn't deserve to know or be there for her.

madelyn rang the doorbell of this random apartment door. she waited for a few minutes, with no response she was about to leave but then the door swung open. "hi sorry!" the man greeted. "hi, it's fine i mean im having second thoughts. i was about to go-please don't." the two stood there awkwardly for a few seconds. "i'm sorry that was weird, do you want to come in?" he asked, madelyn looked around and the man shook his head. "i promise i'm not gonna hurt you or anything." she gave him a smile. "start by you tell me your name." madelyn said and he scoffed at himself. "lando norris, yours?" he spoke softly. "madelyn smith, can we get coffee or something first?before i walk into your apartment." she questioned and he chuckled nodding. "let me grab my wallet and keys, your welcome to come in- sorry i'll be right back." lando ran back inside, madelyn catching a glimpse inside. to be honest she was shocked seeing how handsome he was. she was definitely not expecting him. he seemed nice, very eager. "we can go." he smiled and she nodded following him out of the building.

lando was shocked as well, he didn't expect her to be so beautiful especially considering that her boyfriend cheated on her. the ad was posted almost a year ago and he meant to take it down but forgot. he knew what being cheated on was like and reading the message from madelyn he immediately felt bad for her especially her being pregnant. the only reason he posted the ad was because his ex cheated on him and he was lonely and not used to living alone. but he eventually got over it when no one replied.

"so what do you do for work?" madelyn took a sip of her water remembering on the way over she couldn't have coffee. lando looked scared of the question and he didn't answer for a minute making madelyn speak again. "if you'd rather not say that's fine, i uh i'm in medical school. but i work at a doctors office in the front doing clerical work." she told him and he smiled. "medical school? what field are you thinking of going for?" lando asked, he was also drinking water. "i'm not sure yet. i'm thinking pediatrics since i love kids." madelyn looked down at her stomach placing her hand over it. "not really sure now since i'm gonna be dealing with this one." she sighed. "i'm an f1 driver. i drive for mclaren." lando blurted, madelyn chuckled softly. "what is f1?" she questioned, he was shocked. "you live in monaco and don't know what f1 is?" he smiled she shook her head. "this is very refreshing. you know you not knowing who i am." he sighed. "i've only lived in monaco for a few months, i'm originally from jersey. i moved for my ex to london then my best friend was going through stuff so we moved out here for her. now here i am." madelyn explained. "wow, i can't believe they'd do that too you." lando shook his head. "me either, can we not talk about it actually. tell me about your f1 career." she said and he nodded.

lando was very passionate about his job and madelyn could tell by the way he spoke about it. after that madelyn looked him up and he seemed trustworthy. "so how much would i need to give you for rent and- don't worry about it." he cut her off. "what do you mean?" she huffed. "i make enough to take care of everything. i'm gone more than half the year so you just need to feed yourself and stuff like that- i can't let you do that lando- please let me." the two stared at each other. so many things could go wrong with her agreeing, it all sounded too good to be true. "okay. when should i move in?" lando smiled yet again. "today?" he suggested and she chuckled. "okay. i don't have much just like two suitcases full of clothes the rest of my things stayed in that apartment." his eyes widened. "okay well. i can take you to pick your stuff up if you wanted." he offered. "you're already doing so much. i can handle jess and callum." she rolled her eyes. "i'll still drive you." he wasn't taking no for an answer.

madelyn and lando sat outside of her old apartment complex in his mclaren. "working for mclaren has it's perks huh?" she teased. "it does." he shrugged. "it's only my jewelry and shoes left in there shouldn't take me long." she sighed getting out of the car. "text me if you need help." madelyn nodded.

the girl used her key to enter the apartment, she prayed no one was home and it seemed to work. she grabbed her last suitcase from the hall closet and packed the rest of her things. the closet only had callums stuff in it. she grabbed all her jewelry and extra makeup she jumped hearing voices walking into the apartment. "have you heard from her?" jessica's voice echoed. "no i have no idea where she is." callum spoke. "me either. cal i feel so bad she wasn't supposed to find out like this." jessica sounded conflicted and that made madelyn rolled her eyes. "i do too but i love you and she was going to find out anyway." callum said, madelyn scoffed, love? it had been going on for that long, long enough for love. "you two are really unbelievable." she walked out of the room suitcase in hand. "mads what- where have you been we've tried calling and texting." jessica started. "honestly i don't really care." madelyn shook her head tossing the key on the couch. "you two deserve each other." the girl walked out of the apartment both followed behind her pleading with her to listen. "nothing either of you say will change anything." madelyn groaned as she stepped outside. lando looked up from his phone and saw them following her, he got out of the car, madelyn saw him and sighed in relief. "maddy." callum grabbed her arm and lando instinctively walked towards them. madelyn pulled her arm away. "i trusted the both of you. especially you jess, we've been friends since we were five. i expected so much more from you." madelyn wiped away her tears. lando opened the front trunk or his car. madelyn looked at him as he reached for her suitcase. "i can find it in myself to forgive you but we can't be friends anymore. i'll never trust you again." madelyn sniffled as lando opened the door for her. "are you okay?" he whispered rubbing her arm and she nodded quicky before getting in. lando glared at the two before walking around and starting the car. "since when is she friends with lando norris?" callum turned to jessica. "that's your main concern right now? we broke her heart callum!" jessica shouted as lando drove away.

"that was intense, you okay?" lando asked again, madelyn nodded. "do you think i should tell him?" she questioned then widened her eyes. "don't answer that, we barely know each other. i'm sorry." madelyn face palmed and sighed loudly. "it's fine honestly we've talked so much today i feel like i know you." lando smiled at her. "but to answer the question, it's definitely up to you." madelyn laughed. "that really helps." she shook her head. "sorry."

the two got back to the apartment or condo type place really. lando showed her to his guest bedroom now her room. "thank you for this lando. really. i was some random person texting you my horrible life situation and you didn't have to respond but you did." madelyn turned to lando who was rolling two of her suitcases in. "i like helping people especially those who need it- no sorry that came out wrong." lando stuttered making madelyn laugh. "i know how you meant it." madelyn reached for his shoulder. "thank you." she smiled pulling him into a hug. lando was shocked as he wrapped his arms around her.
