BREAKFAST WITH BEATRICE AND HER FRIENDS WAS one of the funniest mornings madelyn had ever had. beatrice fell in love with every person there. lissie managed to get a late flight with marcus and they for in early that morning just in time. "i'm promised to watch arthur and chris play football, so i'll see you in a few hours." madelyn told lando as she slipped her shoes on. "max and nova are doing a family spa thing, vienna and lissie are dragging osc and marcus to the beach. could i join you?" lando asked hesitatly scared she say no. "of course lan, get dressed so you can play with them." madelyn smiled plopping down on the couch. "i'll let them know." mads added as lando ran into the room to change.madelyn texted the group chat with her and the jersey boys, they were happy to have lando come along. why would they object, he was lando norris. they said exactly that. even said madelyn didn't have to go just to send lando, obviously. lando came out of the room dressed more appropriately for the park.
"ready?" she smiled and he nodded pulling his shoes on. "yeP, let's go." lando said going over to help her up. "man this child doesn't stop moving." madelyn said grabbing lando's hand at the same time he helped her and placed it on her stomach. "it's like a alien." lando chuckled as the baby kicked his hand. "i know. it feels crazy." madelyn bit her lip as lando looked up at her their faces just centimeters apart. "we should go." she mumbled looking at his lips. "yeah." lando said back, neither of them moved. they stayed in that position just staring at each other until madelyns phone rang. she reluctantly pulled away grabbing it from the couch. lando moved away walking to the kitchen area.
"yes chris we're on the way. stop being weird and stop being mean to arthur." madelyn said seriously but was smiling. "i accept the apology. be there in ten." she said hanging up the phone, she looked over and lando who just smiled. "ready?" he asked and she nodded grabbing her bag and keys. they both shared look collectively agreeing to
not acknowledge what just happens. "are you still team boy?"madelyn striked up a conversation to ease the slight awkwardness they were experiencing. "of course. as uncle duty i must get him into karting." lando shrugged making her laugh softly. "we still have a long time until that's even a possibility and what if i didn't want him racing?" madelyn tilted her head as they got into madelyn's car. "that's gonna be up to him." lando grinned. "or her."the drive was normal. the roommates decided in their heads that it would be better to never mention the moment ever. pulling up to the very empty park madelyn smiled. "i remember coming out here everyday with these two. middle school was the best time of my life i think." she said to lando as ejes walked over to arthur and chris, as well as their friend george. "hey loser!" she announced their presence. "manny don't embarrass us in front of f1 mclaren driver lando norris." chris stood ip from the ground, arthur and george followed. "it's so nice to see you madelyn, thank you chris i missed you too." madelyn mocked him making him laugh as he brought her into a hug. "it is nice to see you manny." he muttered as she hugged him back. "get off i've missed arthur more!" madelyn said quicky engulfing arthur into a hug. "i missed you too love." arthur hugged her back. "rude." chris said going to introduce himself to lando.
"come on manny! just because your pregnant doesn't mean you can't do a penalty kick. are you scared you won't get it in." arthur shouted from across the field where he and george stood. she rolled her eyes getting up. "we want to see this up close." chris followed helping lando up. "you did this every day in middle school arthur. you know she'll get it past you." chris teased his old friend. "i'd like to see her try." arthur egged her on. "come on then, give me the ball." she put her hands out and george gently tossed it to her. "arthur i don't have to do much work to score on you. we established this year seven with my david beckham kick." madelyn said to him. "yeah but that was ages ago and how long has it been since you've touched a football?" arthur shrugged. "too long." she sighed putting the ball down. "if i miss it's because i'm pregnant not because i'm rusty." madelyn said pointing sh him. "i won't hold it against you." he put his arms out getting into position.
