WORK WAS ALWAYS ANNOYING before madelyn got pregnant, now that she was it was so much more. everything seemed to bother here. currently she was on her lunch break, she gets an hour and a half so she scheduled her first baby scan for then. she walked into the office, another her greeted her with a smile. "patricia right? we talked in the phone, im madelyn smith." the woman nodded. "yes ma'am, thank you for remembering my name. if you could just fill this out and we'll get you back as quicky as possible." patricia smiled handing her a clipboard. "of course, i'm a receptionist as well." patricia smiled. "so you know the struggle." madelyn laughed softly. "i do." she shook her head going to take a seat to fill the paperwork out.madelyn turned the clipboard back in and sat back down. her phone rang making her jump, she sighed grabbing it from her purse looking around embarrassed. "lando?" she whispered to herself before answering. "hello." she held the phone to her ear. "maddy! what are you doing?" lando exclaimed happily. "had my first ultrasound today, i'm waiting to get seen." madelyn told him. "are you by yourself?" lando questioned. "yeah? is that a bad thing?" she sighed looking at the couples sitting with each other. "send me the location, you shouldn't be alone." lando told her. "you really don't have to do that lan." madelyn smiled to herself. "i know that but i want too, just drop a pin. i'll be there as fast as possible." he hung up before she had a chance to protest again. madelyn shook her head sharing her location with her roommate.
before madelyn knew it lando was walking into the clinic. he looked around and spotted her, he smiled widely walking over. "why didn't you tell me about this when we talked this morning?" lando asked sitting down. "i uh i don't know i didn't think about it." madelyn shrugged. "plus i figured you had more instresting or important things to do." she added. "this is important." lando reached for her hand. "whenever you need me i'm here." he added squeezing her hand. "you're a really good roommate." madelyn teased making lando laugh.
they'd been living together for two weeks now. the two were definitely a pair to be reckon with. every night they'd been out together for dinner or just for fun it would start in chaos and end in chaos. lando's security we're getting real tired of their bullshit. the fans hadn't found her yet like on any social media mainly because lando hadn't followed her or said anything about her. people were assuming they were together which madelyn wanted lando desperately to clear up because she didn't want to cause any problems for him. especially being pregnant she didn't want people too think anything wrong.
madelyn laid on the table as the doctor moved the doppler across her abdomen, madelyn shivered. "sorry it's a bit cold." he apologized. "it's okay." madelyn gave him a small smile looking at lando. "baby is looking great." doctor oliver smiled. "so everything's okay?" madelyn asked looking at the screen. "i would say so, yes. see here." doctor oliver pointed at the screen. "you're a bit further along then we thought. about thirteen weeks." he said pausing on the baby, madelyn widened her eyes. "he's grown kidneys already." oliver said making madelyn smile. "as long as she's healthy, it's fine." the woman spoke and oliver chuckled. "can't be sure if baby's a girl yet. but is that what we're hoping for?" oliver asked and madelyn nodded. "you agree dad?" he turned to lando. "oh i'm not.. i uh- he's not the father." madelyn finished for him because he was stuttering nervously. "he's my friend." she added. "my apologies."
madelyn cleaned her stomach off and smiled at lando as she buttoned her jeans. "this is going on the fridge." he held up the ultrasound photo. "that's sweet." madelyn smiled as he handed it to her. she smiled down at the picture and lando smiled at her. "you really want a girl huh?" lando asked as they exited the room. "honestly yes, but either way i'll be happy." madelyn smiled as lando held the door open for her. "ready to schedule the next appointment?" patricia smiled and madelyn nodded opening her calendar app. lando stood to the side waiting for her to finish. "ready?" madelyn smiled turning around. "yeah." lando nodded as they walked to the door, he held it open for her. "did you uber or?" lando asked and madelyn shook her head. "work is around the corner, i walked." she told him. "do you have time for lunch?" he asked, madelyn looked at her watch. "why not." she shrugged, lando smiled swinging his keys around his finger. "great."
madelyn stared at the ultrasound with a smile on her face. "i can't believe this is in here." she pointed at her stomach shaking her head putting it away in her purse. "me either you don't look it maddy." lando told her and she smiled. "that is the only thing i'm not excited for. getting fat and ugly." she sighed eating a chip, lando chuckled. "i'm sure you won't get ugly, honestly not even a possibility." lando comments making madelyn turn red. "we should probably get going, i need to get back." she said and he nodded. "i'll go pay, i'll meet you outside." lando stood up. madelyn grabbed her purse and made her way outside. "are you dating lando? a voice made her turn around. "sorry what?" she questioned immediately looking inside praying for lando to come out. "are you dating lando norris?" the man with the camera asked her again. "what's going on?" lando walked out, madelyn sighed in relief. "i think we have our answer." the man chuckled backing away. "answer to what?" lando questioned. "are you two dating?" the man wanted it confirmed. "okay let's set the record straight, this woman is my roommate and a good friend and nothing more." lando said before walking away with madelyn.
"thank you for lunch and for the ride." she grinned looking over at lando. "you're welcome." lando said. "i'll see you at home?" he questioned, madelyn nodded. "good i have something to talk to you about." lando told her and she raised her eyebrows. "everything okay?" she frowned. "oh yeah everything's good. promise." lando gave her a smile. "okay see you later." she leaned over kissing his cheek quicky before exiting the car.
