Nova Swan {Embry Call}

Today was Bella's wedding can't say I was thrilled I know what will happen after the wedding Edward is going to turn her. I got up and got ready nonetheless. I put on my green mermaid dress adjusted and laced in the back with a slit on the left that goes down from just a bit above my knee. I did a light makeup and simply curled my hair. I finished by putting on my simple stilettos heels which by the way is my only pair of heels.

I left my room and went downstairs to find my dad. He was in a tux. I had never seen him in one at exception of the pictures of his and mom's wedding which was ages ago. "You look beautiful Nova" my dad told me with a smile.

"Thanks dad you don't look bad at all in a tux dad" I said.

"Oh this old thing" he said jokingly making me laugh. We went to his police car and got in. Dad drive off towards the Cullen's place since they're hosting the ceremony and everything else. We parked in an empty spot once we arrived and walked inside. We walked inside and dad stopped in the stairs looking at the Cullen's mural of graduation caps.

"Hey so did you find our eldest daughter ?" Said mom walking up the stairs.

"Are those graduation caps ?" Asked dad skeptic mom looked behind her and laughed.

"How creative !" She said walked up the last two stairs.

"Or weird" said dad before following mom and I.

"Alice ? Bella ?" Said mom.

"In here mom" said Bella from the room on our left. Mom walked in and I followed closely behind.

"Oh my gosh ! You're so beautiful. Oh honey. Crap my mascara" Said mom ecstatic and shedding a tear.

"Mom!" Said Bella

Alice handed a handkerchief to our mother as she thanked her. "Charlie, Nova come on get in here !" Said mom as I walked closer awkwardly.

"You sure I don't wanna..." started dad as he walked in. Bella looked happily shocked to see dad in a tux.

"I know. I look hot your sister already told me" said dad with a joking tone making me grin.

"Your dad and I thought you needed something blue." Said mom as she opened a velvet box.

"And something old beside your mother" added dad teasingly and I snort.

"Ah nice" said mom looking at dad before her gaze went back to Bella.

"It was grandmother Swan's" said dad.

"But we added the sapphires" added mom.

"it's beautiful you guys. Wow thank you so much" said Bella taking it and handing it to Alice so she could put it in her hair.

"It's your first family heirloom. Pass on to your sister then your daughters and their daughters" said mom starting to cry.

"Mom I love it" said Bella getting up looking at our mother. As she went to hug mom Alice stopped her.

"Nope. No smudging my masterpiece" said Alice with a small smile.

"Oh she's right" said mom with a small smile too.

"Thank you" said Bella again while Alice went to get the dress.

"Ok. Time for the dress !" Said Alice  making mom clap happily.

"Do you wanna see it ? I want to see it" said mom more to herself than to anyone else.

I let Bella get dressed by turning around as mom and dad left to go downstairs. "I have a gift for you too" I said as she got in her dress helped by Alice and Rosalie.

"I- I didn't think you'd have one for me especially after how awful I've been to you especially as an older sister" she said knowingly.

"Yeah... well I decided to give you one last thing as I know what's going to happen after this" I said

"What are you talking about?  And you can turn around" my sister said.

"You look beautiful" I started before taking a deep breath. "Bella I know about vampires and werewolves I mean not just because I'm an imprint of one but because I'm what they call The Protector... I help to keep the balance and peace between species and what is about to happen you getting turned... I feel it it's going to create an problem with the wolves and the thing is I don't know if I need to step in and be on your side since you're knowingly violating the treaty" I told her with a sad look.

"I- I don't know what to say Nova... I didn't know about you being The Protector I mean I was told what it was by Jake and I guess he was trying to hint me that you were but I didn't catch on... as to the treaty I know it's a violation of it but it's what I want shouldn't that play a role in things ?" She asked I shake my head.

"You're missing the point Bella... it's not the turning you that is the problem it's the bitting a human that is" I told her with a sigh and she looked down.

"Look I'm not telling you this to make you sad especially on your wedding day but we didn't have the time to talk in the last few weeks so I didn't have another choice but to tell you now. Anyway this is my gift to you" I added her as I open the small velvet box in which was a necklace.

"The stone is an amethyst... so you don't forget me even after I no longer walk this earth" it was a necklace with a sterling silver chain and the amethyst was shaped in a tear drop. She took the box and smiled looking at it before handing it to Alice who put it on her. Bella gave me a sad smile and I gave her one in return before starting to leave.

"Oh and Bella... I love you you're still my sister after all" I told her looking back.

"Nova... I love you too...baby sister" She said and I could hear her sad tone as I left the room and went downstairs. I went to sit with mom and Phil until it was time to get up. We watched as my older sister walked down the aisle my dad on her arm she looked really nervous until her gaze met Edward's after that it was like no one else existed.

I didn't hear what the priest was saying as I was to in awe of how in love my sister looked silently a few tears escaped my eyes. We all clapped as they kissed and I wiped my silent tears away.
