Nova Swan {Embry Call}

After about fifteen minutes she finally pulled up and I ran to the truck and got in. Bella drove off and an awkward silence filled the air. "So uh how was school" asks Bella making me scoff "That's what you wanna know ?! Seriously five years with no contact and that's what you want to know !? I tried to text and call but noooo miss Bella is too busy to take fucking tirthy second to answer a single text ! So don't go and try to make small talk with me alright"

She stayed silent it seemed that I had hurt her but I didn't care she had promised to keep in touch and she broke that promise she's the reason I don't believe in promises. We got home a few minutes later and I got out back pack on one of my shoulders, I ran to the porch so I don't get soaked from head to toe. I unlocked the door and got in. I went straight upstairs into my room and closed the door. Once alone I sigh and take off my jacket and my shoes. I put my backpack on my desk chair and take out what I need for my homework. I put my phone on the charger before starting on my homework.

•••Few days later•••

Days went by and I haven't talked to Bella again since she picked me up from school. I've been going over to Jacob's more often. Ok yeah I'm avoiding her I don't want to argue with her so the best way is to stay away plus I love hanging out at Jake's his sister Rachel and her boyfriend Paul are great and Billy is like a second father to me. Embry, Jared and Quil have been coming around to a bit I help them with homework not that Jared needs it he's pretty much always top of the class right behind me. Anyway everything has been pretty boring I had already left for school when Bella texted.

Dad said he probably wont be home for dinner something to do with someone being attacked by an animal

I looked at the text and didn't reply. She apologized but I don't know if it's going to be enough for me to forgive her. I put my phone in my pocket walking into the school."Nov ! Ready for the Algebra exam ?" Asks Jared "You know I am Jared ! I've been studying" I tell him with a smirk

"Look at her being like 'I've been studying' and yet again she's gonna crush everyone else and get the best grade" says Embry annoyed  "Maybe not ! I'm pretty confident I'll be top of the class this time !" Says Jared smugly "Whatever you say Jared !" I say with a chuckle. We went to class and I gave Jared a playful wink daring him to try to have a better grade than me. He shake his head and I hear Jacob, Quil and Embry chuckle. They always thought our competition for being the top of class kinda funny. Class went by and Jared finished before me. Damnit ! Every time one of us finish first is generally the one who gets the better grade but u guess we'll see. Five minutes after Jared I was done and walked out of the class. Jared was waiting for me outside he knew I wouldn't be long to finish.

"Looks like I'm gonna get the best grade !" Says Jared with a playful smile "Oh yeah we'll see about that !" I reply with a smirk. We went to the cafeteria to wait for the others and sat at our usual table.

•••A week later•••

Last week as been pretty boring we had a biology exam too the day after our Algebra one but that was it we got our grade back from those two exam yesterday and Jared did get the best grade in Algebra but I got the best one in biology!

"Hey Nov you coming to La Push after class ? We could go surfing !" Says Jared excitedly. "Hey you know I'm always down for surfing !" I tell him with a smile. "Well guess we'll see you there later then !" Says Embry. "You can't get rid of me Embry you know that!" I say with a chuckle. The guys laughed and we left to go home after a boring day of school. I walked home and once there I got up to my room grabbing my wetsuit and a change of clothes. My board is already in the van that Paul is going to drive down as always. My phone buzzed in my pocket and I took it out wondering who it was.

About 15 minutes later Bella pulled up and walked inside the house. As I finished packing my bag. I heard her walk upstairs and i got out of my room. "Let me just grab another coat and I'll be right down" Says Bella. "Yeah sure I'll be in the truck just lock the door on your way out" I tell her. "Ok" she relies. I got downstairs and walked to her truck getting in the passenger seat putting my bag at my feet. I had put a bikini under my clothes so I could put on the wetsuit just once at the beach.

Bella got out a minute later and locked the door before getting in the driver seat. She gave me an awkward smile and drive off towards La Push. After about 10 minutes we got there and Bella parked beside two vans I got out and so did she. I took out my wetsuit and put it on. Once done I went in between the two vans and Bella was sitting in one of them as her friends looked at me."Guys meet my sister Nova" introduces Bella. "Hi so I see some of you are also going to surf" I say looking at the three on the wetsuits. "Yeah we figured since we're here we might as well and I see you're going too" says the girl. "Yeah... hey guys" I say to Embry and Jacob with a smile

"Hey Nov Jared is already in the water and he took your board down too if you want to join him" Embry informs me. "Thanks Embry ! See you later losers !" I say with smile while running off. I ran downstairs and grabbed my board on the sand. I waved to the surfers as I saw them looking at me. It was most likely Paul and Jared. I swam towards them and stopped with them.

"Well well Nov came to lose our surfing competition" says Paul with a smug smile. "In your dreams Paul ! I'm gonna win !" I tell him with a smirk. "Yeah we'll see about that !" Says Jared laughing. I chuckled and as we saw the next wave we fought for it but ended up leaving it to Jared. He was good can't lie on that one.

"So Nov how's it going with your sister ?" Asks Paul. "Don't wanna talk about it" I tell him rolling my eyes. "That bad uh ?" Says Paul chuckling. "Yeah and that's why I'm gonna win !" I say while I see the next wave coming. I started to swim towards shore until I got up on my board to ride the wave.

Paul, Jared and I surfed for a while before finally getting tired and got back on shore. Oh and I did win our competition.
