Billy: yes he's a shapeshifter so are Sam, Paul, Jared and Embry

Me(baffled): What ?! It's official I'm going crazy !

Jacob: no you're not Nov

Me(get up and cross my arms): I'm gonna need proof of that

Jacob(look at Billy): I can't without Sam approval

Billy: you're right but he can come to me for explanation she would have found out at one point or another anyway

Jacob: because of-

Billy: yes

Jacob: alright well follow me outside Nov because I can't do this inside

Me: uh ok

I followed him outside and we went behind the house just then Paul, Sam, Jared and Embry came out of the forest.

Me: uh Jake there's Sam and the others

Jacob(turns around): Sam

Sam: Jacob come on we gotta go

Jacob: there's something we need to talk about first

Sam: we can talk later

Jacob: no it needs to be now

Me(whisper): Jake if he's the Alpha you have to obey orders

Sam: You told her ?!

Me: Jacob didn't Billy did Sam !

Jared: why would Billy tell you ? He knows the rules

Me: because I'm apparently The Protector... I just learned that I was and he told me everything

Sam: impossible...

Me: is it though Sam ?

Jared: Sam if Billy told her it's because he believes that it's true and that she is The Protector

Embry: Sam she's going to know anyway what's the difference between now and later ?

Sam: fine but not here let's go in the forest we can all shift there

I was curious to see them in their wolf form so I followed them into the forest and once we were what Sam considered deep enough they shifted. Sam is one of the biggest wolf of the five of them and is completely black, Jacob is slightly bigger then Sam with rusty-brown fur, Paul is smaller than Sam and Jacob and has dark silver fur, Jared is the same size as Paul, with brown fur, darker over the face, Embry is slim and sleek, with pale gray, black-spotted fur.

As I looked into Embry's eyes something in me felt pulled towards him I walked towards Embry slowly and he got down on his belly and crawled slowly towards me. He got close enough for me to touch him I had a second of hesitation but my whole being wanted to touch him so my hand found its way in his fur he buried his big wolf head in my chest which made me laugh. I don't understand I mean sure I always liked Embry but only as a friend now it felt like more than that.

"Show them"

Me(looking around): what ? Show them what ?

"You can control the elements focus on one like the wind and try to do something"

Me: what if I can't control it ?

"You can control it"

I bite my lower lip and took a few steps back from Embry he whimpered but didn't move. I closed my eyes for a second before deciding on what to do until I decided to let my instinct guide me. Using only my instinct I used the wind to make leaves that were on the ground float in a not so gracious manner but it was a start. I wanted to stop doing it and ended up making the leaves stop moving mid air. How the hell am I supposed to make it stop now ! I heard movements around me and saw that everyone was leaving. I frowned they wouldn't dare leave me alone in here would they ?! I put on my angry face they better come back or I'm going to kick their asses. A minute later they came back in shorts only with shoes.

Me: seriously what about a shirt guys ?

Embry: aww is someone uncomfortable darling

Me(roll my eyes): shut it Embry

Sam: alright well let's go back to mine

The leaves had finally started falling slowly back down on the ground as I followed the guys to Emily's. As we walked through the forest Sam and Paul I couldn't help but wonder about not only what I could do but what was this weird pull that I had to be near Embry. We continued to walk and walk and it started to feel like we had been walking for hours and I was getting tired.

Embry: tired Nov ?

Me: feels like we've been walking for hours !

Jared: you're exaggerating Nov it's only been 10 minutes

Me: well it feels like more then that alright

Embry(stops in front of me and turn his head towards me with a smile): how about you get on my back then I can carry you for the rest of the way

Me(unsure): I can still walk

Embry: come on Nov don't be shy just up on

Me(mumbles and walk up to him): fine

I got behind him and bit the inside of my cheek. So embarrassing. I jumped on his back and wrapped my arms around his neck and my legs around his chest so I wouldn't fall off and Embry wrapped his arms around my legs to get a hold on me. I let my head down on his shoulder and god. His smell. It's intoxicating. It wasn't like that before. Or was it ? We kept on moving slowly getting closer and closer to Emily's I was enjoying the ride on Embry's back honestly. We finally got there and I actually didn't want to get down from my perch but I guess I didn't have a choice so Embry let me down and the second I stopped touching him it felt like I was missing something, a part of me. What the hell is going on !?
