Flaws of the World (Hiccstrid)

Eventful Night

Setting: Basically, a recap of the Snoggletog event, and it's AFTER the play where Toothless made an appearance along with his family, etc.

- Back At the House -

Hiccup's POV:

"Oh my gods! Toothless was magnificent in any way possible! He had beautiful eyes and black scales!" Zephyr shared to me and Astrid as we walked back to our house."I guess that costume of mine really made the cut, huh?" I whispered to Astrid while Zephyr and Nuffinks were playing around in the snow while we walked."Your Toothless costume? Or the fake hiccup I had to watch?" She replied, grinning."That fake hiccup had no resemblance to me at all!" I told her, explaining my key features that it lacked while she just nodded watching the kids.

"Yeah.. But I have to admit it ended better than i expected at the least" I told her when we reached our door."What can I say? I had the idea, so it was perfect!" Astrid said proudly "Yeah but-" I was cut off by Astrid, giving me a peck in the cheeks."You did well too" She whispered." We shared a short moment looking at each other's eyes but got interrupted.. "Mommy! Can I take a bath? Nuffinks made me dirty!" Zephyr shouted upstairs. Astrid sighed. "Go ahead, honey!" She shouted back."You go handle Nuffinks, I'll go with Zephyr. They must be sleepy now" She told me and walked upstairs to help Zephyr. I smiled and carried Nuffinks to shower as well. "Come here bud"

After their shower, the kids immediately went to bed and kissed me and Astrid goodnight. "Guess they were sleepy" Astrid told me. Before Astrid said another word, a chilling breeze swept inside our house. Astrid shivered at the sudden coldness. "I'll go close the windows" I told her, rushing downstairs to close the windows up. "Strongest viking here and she got shivered by a sudden cold" I teased then of course she returned a punch into my shoulder and gave me a kiss in the lips "I'm used to it now" I told her, She giggled and suggested we go lay down in the bed to rest

Astrid immediately jumped into our bed and hid under the furs like a kid because of the cold, She waited for me to take off my prosthetic leg and lay down with her. She scooted closer to me and laid her head unto my chest. "Hug me tighter, It's cold" She whispered to me. "Okay, Milady" I replied and pulled her closer to me. "Hey, remember to wake up early. Zephyr will have her classes about dragons tomorrow" I told her, "You go do it" She replied. I grinned and started tickling her for a bit before she twisted my arm to make me stop. "Ow ow ow You win you win!" I told her. We were both laughing like back then.. She gave me one last peck in the cheeks and whispered, "Love you." Before she went to sleep

"Love you too" I replied back, and we both fell asleep in each other's presence, We were both happy and tired, of course..
