Storm

Setting: After Zephyr's first day at school~

Author's POV:

Unexpectedly.. There was a storm in Berk today, Good thing Gobber managed to alert Hiccup, and so Hiccup managed to alert the Berkians about the storm, and they were able to make everyone go home and stay for today since storms are one of Berkians worse enemies I can say.. Due to the cold breeze and harsh destruction it brings..

- In The Haddock Residence -

Hiccup's POV:

Well.. This just got interesting.. Nuffinks, Zephyr, and Astrid are.. cuddling to me. I guess they take after Astrid's fear of storms. "Hey, dad.. When is the storm gonna go away?.." Cute little Nuffinks asked me."We don't know yet, but it will go away soon, I'm sure" I replied. I felt Astrid getting closer to me and hugging me tightly that I couldn't even move.. "H-Hey Astrid, A little too tight.." I told her "O-Oh sorry" She replied and lessened the tension of her hugging. Nuffinks was on the left side of my arm, Astrid on the right side of my arm then.. Zephyr is on my chest, hugging it tightly as well.. This is a cuddling paradise I thought to myself.

After a while, Astrid whispered something to me "Hey.. Come with me downstairs.. I'm scared.. " She told me, I smiled because of how cute she is asking for help on simple things such as this. "Sure" I slowly removed my numb arm that Nuffinks was laying on like a pillow, then laid Zephyr next to him. They were both asleep, and Astrid wanted to eat something, so we both went down, and Astrid held my hand tightly.

"Scaredy cat" I whispered to Astrid as we go downstairs to tease her fear of Storms "S-Shut up.." She replied, blushing. I gave her a kiss in the cheek, which made her smile. We both managed to get down to the kitchen, and Astrid was getting a snack while I was near the sink "guarding the Strongest Viking in Berk" I kept on giggling about that thought and she kept pouting at me while she was grabbing a snack. After a while, She managed to get a snack, and then Astrid asked me something.. "Carry me.. Please..?" She asked while showing off her blue shining eyes that reflected like the sky."Really?" I asked her while raising an eyebrow because of her request."Please??" She replied, and she gave me a kiss on the lips."That's my.. payment, so carry me now. " She asked while giggling, I ended up agreeing,"Scaredy cat" I told her while I carried her up the stairs."Nuh uh" she replied while eating her snack and holding the lantern. After what seemed like an eternity carrying a goddess up the stairs of Valhalla, we finally reached our room and still saw our children sleeping peacefully, We both looked at each other and our reflection showed to our shiny beautiful eyes.. I slowly put Astrid down unto her feet. "Thank you~" She told me and gave me a kiss in the cheeks. She quickly made a spot for me and her in our bed. I took off my prosthetic and laid down with her while she ate her snacks, making me a bit dirty in the process, but I'll just shake it off, I guess..

I saw Astrid yawning after she finished her snack, "Getting sleepy?" I asked her "Yeah.." She replied and laid her head unto my chest."You got sleepy for doing nothing, you know?" I teased her "Shut" she replied while looking at me pouting. After a while of us cuddling, I felt her making braids on my hair again since she was bored and got nothing to do because of the stupid storm. I tolerated it since it's probably the second thing keeping her not bored right now other than cuddling with me, of course. She asked me something. "Hmm.. I wonder if we can have a third one" I heard her muttering under her breath."A third what?" I asked her confused."Third.. you know?" She replied, making circles in my chest smirking at me."A third..-" It took me a moment, but I realized what she was talking about, and I blushed so hard."Do you get it now?" She asked me while looking at me with her blue bright eyes and blushing cheeks."Uh.. I mean.. If you want to.." I replied, scratching the back of my head."Yeah.. Maybe.. just.. maybe.." She replied while she was slowly falling asleep "If you want to, I think we can handle it you know-" I stopped my sentence when i saw Astrid hugged Zephyr and Nuffinks tightly when she fell asleep. "I guess we can wait, I will always be waiting~" I muttered under my breath and gave Astrid a kiss in the forehead and slowly fell asleep as well.. I hope we can stay.. and have moments like this more often, I thought to myself before I completely fell asleep.
