Setting: The storm had stopped in Berk so everything was back to normal

Author's POV:

It was very early in Berk that even their own chickens were still asleep, but regardless of that.. Hiccup needs to wake up very early since he did not do any chiefing yesterday due to the heavy storm and.. Astrid is having a hard time right now

- In the Haddock Residence -

Author's POV:

Astrid was the first one to wake up for today, She slowly opened her eyes to see Zephyr on top of her sleeping, Nuffinks was at the right side of Hiccup then her in the left side of Hiccup laying on his arm. 'I bet he will complain to me about the numbness later' Astrid thought to herself as she was playing with Hiccup's hair, waking him up. "Hiccup. Hiccup" She told him and poking his face "Hiccup!" She whispered loud "W-What what?-" Before Hiccup said something else that was loud Astrid covered his mouth "Shhh, They are still asleep" Astrid whispered to a still very tired Hiccup "O-Oh, Sorry" He replied and they both carefully stood up and went downstairs to have their breakfast "How was your beauty sleep, Milady?" Hiccup asked while Astrid was cooking."It was perfect as normal~" she replied and finished her cooking. She went over to Hiccup when he was reading a book at his chair and kissed his cheeks. "Hey, Food is ready. Dork~" She whispered to him. "Says the one who needed help to get downstairs because of a storm" he teased back. Astrid turned around and twisted his arm playfully. "Hey Hey you win! You win!" Hiccup yelled at her laughing.

- A Few Moments Later -

After they finished their breakfast, Hiccup got ready to go to his mother so they could finish up any chiefing work that they left out. "How do I look?" Hiccup asked when he was wearing his usual armor with a dagger hiding in the sides for emergency and a secret H + A carved in the back, which is not that visible since Hiccup's armor is in black. "Good as always" Astrid replied, kissing him. They kissed for what felt like hours to them ignoring everything in the world as if they were the only people here. After they parted for air, Hiccup kissed her one more time and got going to do his chiefing "Dork" She muttered when Hiccup was far away and giggled at the sight her husband walking "An adorable one" she added.

"Oh right, need to wake up Zephyr too for school" Astrid reminded herself and she went upstairs to wake her up, She finally reached their room and opened the door slowly seeing the sight of her two children sleeping. She sat down at the side of the bed and slowly woke up Zephyr. "Zephyr, Zephyr~" she whispered to Zephyr while fixing her hair. "O-Oh.. Morning mom" She told Astrid, still with her eyes closed and yawning. "Morning sweetie" Astrid replied, kissing her cheek. Zephyr was already getting used to the early times she was waking up, "Lets go eat breakfast" Astrid told her while they both went down holding hands

- Few Minutes Later -

Author's POV:

Astrid was sitting at Hiccup's chair reading her old journal about their adventures when they still had their dragons reminding herself of the beautiful journey they had gone through and humming a song that Hiccup sang while they were flying through the clouds. While that was happening, Zephyr got done preparing for school and.. decided to put up her assassin skills to show for Astrid. She slowly crept up at Astrid while she was busy reading and.. "Boo!" Zephyr yelled, which made Astrid flinch, and then she saw Zephyr laughing at the sight of Astrid flinching at a simple prank."Got you, mom!" Zephyr exclaimed."Why you little rascal.." Astrid told her and started tickling Zephyr, causing them both to laugh and enjoy this short moment. After a minute of having fun, both of them were panting and catching their breaths because of how intense their laughter were. "Ha.. Want me to walk you to school, or can you walk on your own there?" Astrid asked Zephyr as she was packing her stuff and putting on her fur boots."Hmm.. I can go by myself, Mom" Zephyr replied and gave Astrid a kiss in the cheeks before she happily walked out of the house."That girl.." Astrid thought to herself while she was smiling at the sight of the happy Zephyr walking throughout the village.

- Few Moments Later -

Author's POV:

While Zephyr was walking to her school, she suddenly noticed a familiar boy.. She focused her eyes at the walking boy and.. it was the black haired boy! She thought to herself what he was gonna do in the nearby forest But.. suddenly she remembered that there will be a combat training today to hone their combat skills..With the addition of this thougtht she decided to follow him to the nearby trees just behind the school to see what he was up to. After a while of walking, the boy finally stopped at a bush and pulled out a normal looking sword. 'That's not normal, is it?' Zephyr thought to herself, and she was right. The boy suddenly pushed a very small button at the side of the handle, which in an instant covered the normal iron sword into a different kind of iron which was similar to the iron that Hiccup used for his inferno blade, Zephyr noticed that it was just a thin layer but I was thick enough to withstand any impact from a surface.. The sword returned back to normal in an insant when the boy clicked the small button again and packed his sword onto his bag, ready to go to school. Zephyr saw this and ran to school so the boy won't notice her spying on him.'This just got interesting..' she thought to herself while running, but of course.. Like a distracted Hiccup, She bumped into Fishlegs, which caused her to stand up straight and say sorry while bowing. Fishlegs just giggled at the small incident and said thank you for her apology and to be careful, She nodded and ran to the arena where the combat training would be held. She made it before it started and sat in the stands near the instructors.

- 3 Minutes Later - ( Author's POV )

Zephyr was looking for the black haired boy, and after a while of searching, she found him at the farthest stand looking at his 'normal' sword. Zephyr grinned at the boy for his very interesting inventions when the large horn was blown and Zephyr flinched and covered her ears because of the sudden sounds 'Guess this is what mom had to hear when i scared her' Zephyr thought to herself when the crowd started cheering for the first contestants ( Back at Haddock Residence: Achoo! Astrid sneezed when she was mentioned at Zephyr's thoughts "Huh..That's weird.." )

The first contestants weren't that good, and some failed miserably.. such as the twins that Zephyr saw had NO coordination at all.. ( Like OUR twins - Author ) Then there was this cocky buffed looking kid who managed to get to the final stage.. In which you had to face a fellow student to pass this combat training. Zephyr smiled a bit at this idea of honing her skills through these training sessions put out by the school.

- Few Moments Later - (Still My POV)

Zephyr.. was bored.. watching the kids similar to her age fail and some succeed. After a few more minutes if waiting.. It was finally "Zephyr Haddock!" Turn. Zephyr stood up and walked to the sides where Fishlegs was. After some deep breaths, she nodded at Fishlegs, signaling that she was ready. Fishlegs gave a thumbs up at the instructor to start the obstacle training. '1! 2! 3!.. Go!' The moment the instructor said go, Zephyr started the obstacle training with ease going through the spiky terrain and flames and even climbing a big wall with no rope whatsoever leaving the other kids impressed at her skills, some even cheering for Zephyr. She finally reached the last obstacle which was a simple parkour stage and.. *Ding ding ding!* She finally rang the bell at the other side of the arena ending her try at.. "At exactly 4 minutes!" The female instructor yelled and the students cheered for Zephyr. She was a bit flustered with the cheers and waved back saying thanks for the support.. this also means she moved to the final stage in which she had to face.. someone at equal footing of her she will be the first combatant of this stage which relieved her since she doesn't want to wait too long.. She was stationed at the right side of the arena where Fishlegs was outside to open the gate when her opponent and Zephyr was ready..

After a couple of deep breaths and calming her mind, Zephyr nodded at Fishlegs in which Fishlegs lights up a torch signaling she was ready, A few more minutes and Zephyr saw the lights in the left side of the arena light up as well signaling her opponent was ready.. The female instructor demanded of the gates to be raised for the combatants to start.. "Let our first round of this final stage.. Begin!" The instructor yelled and the crowds cheered for both sides and eager to watch who will win.. While Zephyr was looking at the left side of the arena for her opponent.. She suddenly saw her opponent and muttered.. 'Well, This just got interesting'.. while grinning at the sight of her opponent..
