Flaws of the World (Hiccstrid)

First Day

Setting: Continued version of the first chapter (I'm doing these "Settings" so I don't get confused when writing, lol)

Author's POV:

Astrid woke up early in the morning to wake up Zephyr, Even she didn't want to get up since she still wanted to sleep with Hiccup but it's one of the sacrifices being a mother she thought to herself. She carefully stood up and scooted away from Hiccup so he didn't get woken up by Astrid. She succeeded and went to Zephyr and Nuffink's room to find Zephyr. She found Nuffinks in the lower bunk and Zephyr in the top bunk of the bed

"Zephyr, Sweetie~ Wake up" Astrid whispered to Zephyr while gently nudging her. "5 more minutes.." Zephyr mumbled while sleeping."You are like Hiccup.. Geez." She told Zephyr. After 2 minutes, Zephyr slowly opened her eyes and looked at her mom, who was playing with her hair, which was similar to Hiccup. "Morning sweetie" Astrid told her, "M-Morning mom" Zephyr replied while yawning "Lets get you ready for your first day at school?" Astrid told her while helping her get down the top bunk."Where's dad?" Zephyr asked Astrid when they were going downstairs to eat breakfast."Sleeping like always" Astrid replied, and they both laughed

- Few Moments Later - ( I'm lazyy :> )

"Are you done getting prepared, sweetie?" Astrid asked while knocking on their room. The door opened to Zephyr using similar clothing as Astrid, which made Astrid smile "Lets go?" Astrid asked, putting on her fur boots."Yup!" Zephyr replied. While they were walking in the village, the people greeted Good morning to both Astrid and Zephyr. After a while of walking, they made it to the big school Hiccup built, which was almost as big as the Great Hall in the middle of the village. "Woahhh" Zephyr exclaimed while looking up and down at the school. "Be confident and be yourself there, Sweetie, okay?" Astrid told her, and she gave her a kiss in the cheek, and they bid farewell

Zephyr walked into the school and saw a bunch of Berkian kids who were the same age as her. Some boys looked at her, and some even complimented her. She felt a bit overwhelmed but pushed through to her first class, which was.. Fishleg's class about dragons. Zephyr walked in and said, "Good morning, sir!" She told him. Fishlegs replied good morning as well and fixed her hair when she walked in

She sat in the front so she could pay attention clearly to Fishlegs lessons, After a short introduction, They started their first lesson about how Dragons and Berkians worked together on their tough moments. It did take a while for Fishlegs to finish the lesson, but Zephyr managed to survive and.. the next lesson was Physical Education or Muscle Training, as they call it in Berk. Zephyr watched as some boys and girls did the exercises.

While waiting, though.. Some kids started to make some moves.. on Zephyr "My name is Draco, My father was one of the Vikings which served your grandfather Stoick The Vast, But I won't hesitate to serve a princess like you!" He exclaimed while bowing at Zephyr."Uh... Thanks?.." Zephyr replied, still overwhelmed about the situation. Thankfully, It was her turn on the training grounds, and she quickly left to do the training.'Thank gods, I escaped that one!' She thought to herself.

"Next one in the Traning is.. Zephyr Haddock!" The female instructor shouted. Zephyr stepped in the arena, which was similar to the one she saw in the picture when her mom and dad were still young.. She saw the training obstacles that she needed to pass and said to herself, "Easy enough.." she heard the horn's lound sound and heard."Go ahead and start, Haddock!" The female instructor shouted. It only took Zephyr 13 minutes to finish the course, which placed her at the top of the leaderboard for her class. Everyone cheered at her, and she smiled back. Although her mom's time was 9 minutes so she was shocked at how great her mom was.

"You may sit down near the stands, Haddock!" The female instructor yelled again she did what she was told and sat near the teachers. To get away from any other boys who would hit on her while she peacefully watched the students go over the course.. While she was watching she got interested at a boy with black hair and brown eyes since he secretly used springs to boost his jumps and sprints which the teacher didn't notice but since she had Hiccup's keen eyes she saw it easily and she giggled at it.

The boy's time was 15 minutes, and everyone cheered for him, even Zephyr thought it was impressive even though he had some inventions, but it definitely caught Zephyr's attention.

- 3 more classes gone by -

Zephyr was very exhausted for her first day.. she packed her stuff and got ready to go home. She kept thinking about the black haired boy since she thought to herself if she could beat him while he was using his inventions to boost up his performance

Zephyr got suddenly carried by.. Hiccup "Hello Zephyr!" Hiccup exclaimed, and he tickled her for a bit, and she asked Hiccup."Are you going home early today, dad?" "Yup, Grandma Valka took on the rest of the work" he replied to Zephyr. They both walked together and talked about their day, Zephyr also mentioned the black haired boy while she was talking to Hiccup "Then.. There was this black haired boy who had small springs in his boots to boost up his time in the training!" She told Hiccup."Oh really now?.. I guess the teachers never noticed" Hiccup replied, "Yeah! And his time was so close to mine, I wonder if I can beat him if he uses all his inventions if he still has some.." Zephyr exclaimed at Hiccup.

Hiccup smiled while listening to his beautiful daughter, which resembled Astrid's beautiful face. After a while of walking, they finally got home, and Zephyr immediately hugged and kissed Astrid on the cheeks. "How was your first day at school, Sweetie?" Astrid asked while hugging Zephyr tightly."It was good!" Zephyr replied,"Nuffinks! Wanna go play?" Zephyr yelled at Nuffinks, who was writing something at Hiccup's desk."Oh uh.. Sure!" Nuffinks replied, and they both went outside to play."Don't go too far, you two!" Hiccup yelled.

Hiccup turned around and kissed Astrid on the lips while they both hugged. "How was your day?" Astrid asked while playing with his hair."It was tiring as usual.. Good thing Mom took over the leftover work so I can head home and enjoy some time with you" Hiccup replied, Astrid blushed at his reply and gave him another kiss. This time it was longer and more intense. Hiccup pulled Astrid closer to him, and Astrid held his head. After a while of kissing, They stopped to get some air because of how intense it was. "Ha.. That was intense.." Hiccup muttered. Astrid laughed and hugged him again "Lets go cook dinner together?" Astrid asked Hiccup while she walked over to the kitchen."Sure thing, Milady" Hiccup replied while he ran over to Astrid, hugging her from behind and kissing her neck, causing her to giggle before they went and cooked up a meal for the whole family to enjoy for this day.
