Paladins 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭 // Keith Kogane x Fem reader.

The Black Paladin

This Chapter is a bit messy because the fight scene mostly focuses on Keith versus Zarkon with the additional Azura.


The doors to the control room opened revealing the Paladins. "Pidge, scan the download of the ship. Find out where Zarkon's central command is" Shiro ordered "On it!" Pidge ran to her station. "What happened? Where are the princesses?" Coran asked  "They captured them. Allura sacrificed herself to save me and the information, Azura went in to save her. I didn't have a choice." Shiro replied. 

"How is that possible?" Coran asked  "Coran, I'm sorry things didn't go as planned, but we can't focus on what went wrong. We've got to figure out how to make it right. Pidge, anything?" Shiro asked. On cue Pidge said "Guy's look at this!" and pulled up the castle screen to show a base. A very large base. "Look at the size of it!" Coran stated. All eyes were focused on the large base that was shown on the screen. "I think we should go in right away. Every minute we waste gives Zarkon time to prepare for us" Pidge explained "I agree. We form Voltron, fly in, fly out, dust off our hands and walk away" Lance said all to proudly.  "Um, do you guys not remember the Balmera? We could barely take out one fleet. But this... a base this size could hold a thousand fleets!" Hunk reminded them. "Or maybe we shouldn't go on this mission at all. Think about it. We'll be delivering the universe's only hope to the universe's biggest enemy." Keith added. Tho, he wasn't the one saying it. "Keith, that's cold, even for you. What if it was one of us? What if it was me? You wouldn't leave me, would you? Would you?"  Hunk said. 

"I'm not saying it likes it's an idea. I'm just thinking like a paladin" He shot back, but he was quick to eat his words.  

"No, you're thinking of yourself because you're to scared to do what's right!" Lance shot back. "Okay, were all upset that we lost the princesses " Pidge chimed in. "No! Shiro, lost them!" Coran shouted.  "Okay, okay! This isn't helping. We can't just sit here and bicker like this." Hunk said, "Let's just focus. How are we going to get the princesses back?" Shiro asked.

Both sisters were locked in a cell, Allura was sitting down on the floor with a still unconscious Azura laying beside her. Just then the door opened, revealing two witches. "Come with me" One of them said and a a guard grabbed her by her hand "No, wait! A-Azura!" Allura struggled from the guards grip on her arm. She watched the other cloaked figure looked down at her passed out sister before flicking it's finger and a guard started to carry Azura away. "Where are you taking me?! Azura!!" Her voice echoed throughout the halls as she was.

"Anything? Shiro broke the silence, leaning into Lance's chair "There's just no way in. They'll have us tracked from every direction" Lance replied, looking back at him. "There's gotta be something. Keep looking" Shiro instructed, Lance did as he was told and averted his eyes back to his screen. Shiro looked up, his eyes landing on Coran, his back turned to him, looking out in the abyss. Shiro slowly walked towards him until was beside him. 

"I know you're worried about them. We all are. I'm sorry I let them slip away" Shiro muttered "I know it's not you're fault. It's just....I've already lost so much. I can't lose them too" Coran replied. 

"We'll find a way to get her back. If there was just a way to get close to Zarkon's ship unseen..." Shiro said. As if a light bulb went off in the male altean's head his eye light up, saying "Wait a tick, I think I've got a way"

The plat-from rose up, revealing the witches and they all make their way to Zarkon, stopping a few feet away from him. "Princess Allura" Zarkon says. Allura's eye showed anger "You monster! You destroyed Altea!" She shouted, making her way towards him, only to be stopped by the smaller witch who made her float. Allura gasps before the witch retracted it's magic, making her fall to the floor. "Voltron will put an end to your empire!" She added  "No, it will only make me more powerful. Your father knew that as well as I. That's why he led me to believe he destroyed it all those years ago. But now, your new paladins will come for you, and they will deliver Voltron  to me, and, with it, the key to unimaginable power."
