Paladins 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐧𝐭 // Keith Kogane x Fem reader.

Shiro's Escape

Shiro was in a pod, his breathing was slow and heavy while the rest was scattered around the room, patiently waiting. Keith was the one closes to him. 
 "Is he okay?" Hunk asked. 

"Sometimes the healing process involuntary brain wave reaction" Allura replied. 

"He look's like he's having a bad dream" Said Hunk

"He just got blasted by a space witch and mauled by giant lizards. What dream could be worst than that?" Keith added. Azura was quiet. She was seeing. All thanks to a certain god. Hint it's not Himadri. 

Inside Shiro's mind

"No, no!" Shiro looked down to see a galra inject something in his arm. " You took my hand, what more do you want!?" Shiro was strapped under one of those table's with three Galra's, two had sentry uniforms while one was waring a mask. 

 "Stop! I want him awake enough to feel this." The Galra that injected something in him walked out of the room. Suddenly, the Galra with the mask slammed the other into the wall before charging to the second one.  " Listen to me. We don't have much time." The man's voice was deep as he planted something in Shiro's metallic arm. Shiro was about to pass out when the Galra slapped him in his face. 

 "Wake up! Zarkon has located the Blue Lion of Voltron on your planet, Earth. You must get it before he does." The Galra deactivated the straps on his arm. 

. "What are you doing?" Shiro asked "I've planted a bomb to cover your escape. Get to a pod, now" He said as he helped Shiro. "Who are you?" 

"I am Ulza. Now, come on!" The sliding door opened and they both crouched down. "Zarkon will know that I released you, so I must disappear. But if you do survive, go to the coordinates planted in your arm. The Blade Of Marmora is with you" 

"Why are you helping me?" Shiro asked "As a leader and a fighter, you give me hope." Ulaz stood up "Hurry, Earth needs you. We all do" Saud Ulaz as he went to the other direction, leaving a confused Shiro.

Shiro was gasping for air as he sunk through the corridors. Just as he was about to move further, sentries could be heard approaching,  Shiro quickly hid beside on of the pillars. When the sentries passed, he quickly moved from his hiding spot, only to knock down a few capsules that was from a trolley. The sentries turn their heads as Shiro ran and the two sentries quickly ran after him. It didn't take him long to arrive to the door that lead to the pods. Shiro turned to face the sentry before grabbing his hand and throwing him to the ground, not noticing the second one until it grabbed him. Shiro screamed when suddenly the bomb exploded, making the sentry let him go into the pod room, The doors closed when the explosion happened, slicing the robot guard. 

Shiro laid in the ground for a moment before taking a galra pod and exiting the mother ship.

Back to reality

 Shiro slowly opened his eyes, his head was still low so he just saw a couple feet. He raised his head to see Lance, Keith, Pidge, and Hunk surrounding him. In the background was Allura and Coran standing side by side while Azura was leaning onto the wall when she broke out of her 'trance' when Echo barked. 

Shiro began to explain to him his 'dream' and Pidge connected his arm to her computer, after a few minutes no coordinates were found. "I'm not finding any coordinates in her. Are you sure this wasn't just a dream?" Pidge asked "I'm positive. Someone helped me escape" 

"And he was Galra?" Allura asked "Yes"

"You know you cannot trust them" Allura said "Your father must've trusted them once. Zarkon was the original black paladin wasn't he?" Shiro shot back, shocking Allura and Azura. "That was a long time ago" Allura said, averting her gaze from Shiro and Azura folded her arms also averting Shiro's gaze. 

"Wait, what?" Lance chimed in. "Didn't you see how he stole the black lion right under Shiro? Or that he could do all that cool stuff with his bayard? Shiro's bayard? You know the black one?" Keith added Azura gave him a glare as Allura lowered her head "Why didn't you just tell us the truth about Zarkon in the first place?" Shiro asked.

"We wanted to protect you from the dark history of the paladins, so you have a chance to bond with your lions on your own. You, are the black paladin now not Zarkon" Allura explained.  "Yeah, well the black lion may have a different take on the matter" Shiro said.
