- The Calm

It had been about a week since the bomb had destroyed the bridge and there hasn't been any sign of the grounders the auburn hasn't seen Lexa since she came to check on her after finding out that Hope was ill the auburn haired girl was always going to the cave that she knew she would probably be but it was like she had disappeared but it's not like she blamed her knowing she had to do what was best for her people and just hoped maybe one day they will bring peace between their people but right now she doesn't see that happening anytime soon seeing how the grounders keep on killing their people and the fact that Bellamy had tortured one of their to learn more about their people.

Especially since the sky people setting off a bomb on the bridge to slow down the attack but Jasper came back boosting about how they had killed some of the grounders which was why Bellamy was so hellbent on everyone knowing how to use a gun before the grounders make their next move as it won't be long now until they attack them. Hope let out a small sigh as she walked into Lexa cave walking over towards where she kept her weapons picking up one of her swords only to gasp in fright when a hand took a hold of the sword, " sorry, didn't mean to scare you"

" Lexa" Hope whispered with tears in her eyes as she reached out wrapping her arms around her neck pulling her into a tight hug, " You're okay. I thought something bad happened to you" Lexa ran her fingers through Hope hair before they pulled away as she cupped her face with her face, " I'm okay, Hope. There's something you should know. My people have plans set in motion... they're preparing to attack your people. I'm leaving and I want you to come with me"

Hope frowned in confusion taking Lexa's hand on her own entwining their fingers together, " and go where?" Hope questioned causing a smile to appear on Lexa's lips, " Polis. I think you would love it there it's beautiful full of art, music, genuine beauty and you can have it all. Come with me." Hope had an hesitant expression on her face, " I can't just leave the others there my friends Lexa I can't just abandon them when they need me the most"

"There's nothing you can do to stop this. You will die Hope and I can't loose you" Lexa exclaimed squeezing her hand only for Hope to shake her head, " you and I both know you're people won't ever accept me. I'm from the sky they will see you as a traitor and you told me what happens to people who are traitors. I don't want to see you get hurt because of me because you are the person that I love and even though right now our people are in a middle of the war nothing will ever change the way I feel about you. But we have to face the truth, the one we can't avoid we're doomed"

Lexa shook her head grabbing Hope arm stopping her from walking away from her, " anyone else can believe that, but not us because I went through hell just to make sure your safe and I won't allow anyone to harm you Hope. My people will see reason I have lost nearly everyone I have ever cared about I will not loose you too" Hope had tears in her eyes as she shook her head frantically, " I love you, Lexa. But I can't put you in the position where you are forced to choose between me and your people. I wish things were different but we can't control this and I won't watch to see you get tortured because of the feelings you have for me"
