Kane and Jaha had been locked away in a cell for a couple of days speaking quietly to themselves how to escape only to stop their conversation when the gate to their cell opened three men walked inside with Lexa behind them carrying a jug of water but then one of the men nodded his head at Jaha two of the grounders walked over to Jaha and began punching him only for Kane's eyes to widened as he pleaded with the grounders, " Stop' we came in peace! We came in peace, please!"

The grounders stopped punching Jaha pulling him up on his feet as the man who pretended to be the commander looked over at Lexa who put her head down as she limped over to the side placing the jug of water down before sitting down on the ground when the grounder turned his attention to Jaha and Kane with a look of hate on his face and harshly hissed, " you speak of peace, yet you send an assassin into one of my villages"

Kane had a look of confusion on his face taking a step forward and questioned, " what are you talking about?" The grounder turned his gaze over to Kane ignoring his question and stated, " blood must have blood" pulling out a knife from his belt looking between the two men, " one of you will die, here, today, by three others hand. I will hear the terms of your surrender from the man who lives"

The grounder then threw the knife on the ground before turning his attention to Lexa speaking in native tongue, "Konge osir taim bilaik odon." ( fetch us when it's done)" the grounder sent one last look to Jaha and Kane before walking out of the cell they were locked in causing Kane to sit down and pulling on the restrains he had around his ankle but he had no luck in removing it.

There was an silence that was heard between the two men thinking about what the grounder had said about only one of them will be making it out alive, " they want us to turn on each other" Jaha stated from where he is sat with his back against the wall when Lexa glanced over her shoulder at them and spoke up, " they want justice" Kane and Jaha shared a look before looking over at the brunette girl when Kane was the one to speak up, " Lives have been lost on both sides. This is why we need to end this war!"

Kane took off his jacket throwing it to the ground only for Lexa to raise her brows at the man with an nonchalant expression on her face as Kane started putting his shoe back on when Jaha stood up making his way over to Lexa crouching in front of her only she furrowed her brows backing away slightly, " what's your name?" The brunette stayed silent for a couple of moments with an hesitant expression on her face before she looked over at Jaha and told him, " Lexa"

"Lexa" Jaha repeated looking at the young girl before he introduced himself, "I'm Thelonious" he then gestured over towards Kane, "and this is Marcus." Jaha then turned his attention back to the girl with an confused look on his face and asked, " your commander spoke of an assassin in a village" Lexa nodded her head in confirmation and replied, " Yes, eighteen of our people were murdered. Elders, children"
