Logan skipped a step when you said his name, but then continued silently leading the three of you towards what you knew was the Professor's office. You watched Steve from the corner of your eye, he kept on looking at Logan with a weird look on his face, one that you reminded yourself to ask about later. Tony on the other hand looked semi bored walking through the old-style estate, internally you snickered, if he only knew how technologically advanced it was in other areas. Finally Logan led the three of you through a door, and you smiled widely as you saw Charles Xavier sitting behind his desk, smiling at you. "Hello Miss. Y/N, I had wondered when we would finally meet." His smooth voice echoed in the room.
"It is a pleasure to meet you Professor. May I introduce you to my fiancé, Tony Stark, and my friend, Steve Rogers." You motioned at them both, knowing there was no real need for introductions for the Professor, but more so the other men could feel at ease in the situation.
"A pleasure gentleman. Welcome to my school."
"Thank you for seeing us." Steve responded, ever the polite man from the 40's.
"Yeah. So, a school for the gifted... is that code for really smart people or something?" Tony asked, as always getting straight to the point, even if he came off a little rude. Charles just wheeled back from his desk and around it to end up in front of it. "Or special as in special needs?" Tony asked once he realized Charles was in a wheelchair. You smacked his arm and Tony just looked at you and said, "what? It's a valid question!"
"Of course it is Mr. Stark. Yes, our school in for the gifted." You snorted at Charles' simple way of putting it. At that moment, there was a knock on the door. "Ah, I believe that would be the rest of the staff... Come in!" Charles called out and the door opened and one by one people you knew started to come in and join you. You were pleasantly surprised that this was a mix of different iterations on the X-Men. Leading the group into the room was Cyclops, which looked a lot like the James Marsden version mixed with the animated version. Right after him was Jean, who honestly looked like a personified version of the character from the animated version with maybe some features of Sophie Gray's version. Behind her was Storm, Ororo personified, a straight perfect resemblance to her animated character (thank god! No shade to Halle Barry). Then Gambit and Rogue, both who looked like their animated versions, although you saw a bit of Taylor Kitsch in Gambit. Last but not least, Kelsey Grammer's version of Beast walked in and your smile widened as you saw both Steve and Tony's reaction.
You chuckled and said, "And when Charles says gifted, he means gifted all right. Boys meet the X-Men."
"X-Men?" Steve asked, confused, his sights still going back to Logan.
"You got a problem bub?" Logan finally called out to him, not missing a beat.
"I'm sorry... it's just you look familiar, like someone I met back in Italy... but it's impossible..." Steve said, he looked lost in some memories.
"Not entirely so Steve... I'm sure you might have met James back in the field in the 40's... right Logan?" You smiled from Steve to Logan, who glared at you uncertainly. Steve's eyes widened in final clarity and recognition.
"James Howlett! Yes! How? It's you?" Steve asked confused.
"Well, I ain't a Super Soldier if that's what you're thinking Star Spangled Man." Logan bit out quickly.
"Nope. Just a mutant." You butt in, the X-Men all looked at you with varying degrees of curiosity.
"Mutant?" Steve asked confused.
"Mutant..." said Tony at the same time, as if that one word answered his questions and sparked a whole ton of questions in his mind at the same time.
Charles cleared his throat, effectively bring the attention back to him. "Correct. Mutants. We were all born with a mutated x gene, in turn this mutation gives us special abilities. I believe Miss. Y/N is biting at the chomp to give you the run down... Y/N?"
