Steve was pacing in the cargo hold; he had caught a glimpse of Y/N in the med bay earlier and the image was not a pretty one. They just needed the rest of the teams to get into their respective jets so they could fly to safety. That's when Thor slammed down on the cargo hold, along with the remaining Avengers. "Is she with the Doctor? Maybe it would be best for her to return to Asgard to heal with Eir." Steve was about to answer him, when Tony stepped into the cargo hold. "Over my dead body Point Break. Legolas!"

"Yeah!" Steve heard Clint answer from the cockpit.

"Get us out of here!"

"Got it! Back to the compound."

"No!" Steve called out, stilling everyone in the cargo hold. "We can't. It's the first place they'll look."

"All the more reason to take her to Asgard." Thor chimed in.

Tony stepped up, practically chest to chest with the God himself. "There is no way you are taking my fiancé to another realm without me. Understood?"

Thor was about to argue when Loki stepped in and pulled his brother back. "Although I would love nothing more than to whisk our friend away from here. We cannot brother... There is still much our friend has to do here on Midguard. She would be highly upset if we removed her from it."

Thor looked like he was taking in Loki's words, then nodded. "I would not tempt a Norns ire."

Loki smiled, "exactly."

Steve, glad the tension was resolved, spoke up again. "We have a plan, remember. If things went south, she told us to head to Wakanda."

"You got those coordinates Cap?" Clint asked from the cockpit.

"Eidetic memory. Of course I do." Steve said as he turned toward the cockpit to assist Clint. The cargo hold door was closing, but a sudden thump made him turn around. One of the X-Men had flown into their jet. Storm, or better yet, Ororo.

"I shall be going with you all, as a line of communication between yourselves and the X-Men. I hope that is alright?" She asked, her eyebrow raising as she looked both at Steve and Tony.

"The more the marrier Sunshine." Tony said as he walked out of the cargo hold and back towards the med bay.

Steve walked up to her, outstretching his hand. "Welcome aboard Ororo."

"Thank you, Captain."

You're not certain when you drifted off. Somewhere between Bruce taking blood samples and him cleaning your cut. When you finally start rousing again, your whole body is aching to the bone. You groan as you open your eyes, to a thankfully dimly lit room. Your eyes feel grainy as you blink through the pain and try to clear your blurry vision. When it finally clears, you look around to see yourself not in a medical room of any sort, but rather a big posh bedroom. You feel the bed dip a little on your left and realize that Tony is curled up, tablet in his hand, dead asleep next to you.

You smile a little bit, just watching the man you love, with no intention of waking him. He needs sleep. You watch him quietly for a little longer before your bladder insists you go to the bathroom. Quietly, trying not to groan at the stiffness and aching of your body, you inch your way to the edge of the bed and push yourself into a seating position. You turn back to make sure Tony is still sleeping and smile warmly at the sight of his sleeping form. Turning back, you take a deep breath, steeling yourself before pushing yourself upright and off the bed.

Your whole body complains at the act, and it takes considerable effort in your part not to – one – fall flat on your ass, and – two – let out a noise in complaint. Taking another deep breath, you push through and slowly but surely make your way to the bathroom. When you finish and slowly step out of the restroom, the door to the room also opens to reveal Steve. "Shush!" You whisper when he sees you, and you silently point towards Tony.
