Alex was lying in the fort that Mike built with her hands over her ears. The voices were still quiete loud but one still bugged her...
"One day is fine and next is black. So if you want me off your back"
It wasn't until Alex heard the same voice singing "So come on and let me know. Should I stay or should I go" from the walkie talkie did she immediately sit up. Mike rushed over after hearing Wills voice and took the walkie talkie from El and repeated "Will are you there?" Into the walkie.
After getting no response he looked to El and asked "Was it..." to which El responded with "Will"
Alex wiped the blood from under Els nose then tapped her on the shoulder. El and Mike both looked at Alex who pointed to her head and said "the voices" this confused Mike but El understood what she meant as she knew Alex's troubles with her mind reading. Alex then pointed to the walkie and said "Same voice".

All the kids were sat in a circle with Alex laying down behind El. The voices had stopped for a while and Alex had zoned out enjoying the quiet. She slowly sat up as the boys discussed how they would sneak into their school.
"I mean...look at them." Both El and Alex looked around the group not understanding what they were planning.
It wasn't until the group split off to look for things to disguise the girls in, did they move. Mike, El and Alex were together as Mike attempted to do Els makeup first. He failed so Alex asked if she could try. Although basic, Alex had managed to successfully do both Hera and Els makeup so they didn't look as pale.
Dustin and Lucas raided a costume box and found a dress and wig to fit El. However, they only found a long, brown haired wig for Alex. Due to similarity in size Mike suggested Alex "borrow" something from Nancy. So Alex looked through the girls closet and found a pair of socks, a pair of black converse, jeans and a long sleeved jumper.

Alex left the room to see Mike in shock while looking at El. Both her and El looked to be "normal" kids.
On the bike ride to Hawkins middle school both El and Alex were amazed by all the buildings and people. As the boys parked there bikes Dustin started thinking and realised something. "Urm...guys! How is Alex gonna come in with us when shes a high schooler age?"
All the young kids looked at Dustin, then to their school filled with young students their age, then to Alex, a girl definitely not their age. "She'll just have to wait out here. Is that okay?" Mike asked making sure it was okay to leave the older girl. Alex nodded and all the kids turned around and headed towards the middle school.
Alex looked over to the Hawkins high school a little further away and started walking towards it. She sat on the grass not too close to the high school but not incredibly far either.
After a few minutes a boy slammed a door open and ran out of the high school. Alex recognised the boy as the one in the picture with Nancy. Alex couldn't hear his yells very clearly, due to the distance but she did hear something about him getting in trouble with his dad.
Alex saw that this caused the boy to be upset and, though she didn't know why, decided to help him. She focussed on the yelling boy before muttering the word "happy" under her breath. The boy stopped his pacing and yelling. He sat down on a bench and sighed before looking at his surroundings.
The boy locked eyes with a girl he had never seen before, she was wiping something from her nose. The girl was unfamiliar to the boy. He had never seen her before and he knew most people in the small town. He wondered why this girl around his age wasn't in class.
Alex looked up from the blood on her finger and locked eyes with the boy. They stared at each other for a moment Alex with curiosity, the boy with a mix of curiosity and confusion. After a moment Alex realised she probably shouldn't be seen and quickly ran in the direction of the middle school.
The boy sat there a million questions running through his head. Why am I no longer upset about my dad? Who the hell was that? Why did they run away? Why do I care about an stranger? He dismissed it for now and went back to his class.

Alex was sitting on the floor outside Hawkins middle when an alarm all of a sudden went of. She quickly stood up while Mike, Lucas and Dustin pushed El on a trolley.
"GO! GO! GO!" Dustin screeched as all of them continued running towards their bikes. They all got on in their usual positions and bikes towards the wheeler household.
