Alex woke up hearing Joyce and Hopper arguing she pried herself away from a sleeping Steve's grip. "Wake up. We gotta sneak you out." Alex lightly shook the boy awake.
He made an upset groan before sitting up and waiting for Alex to find the best way out. She creaked the door open quickly closing it behind her. Hopper was getting changed behind a curtain and talking to Joyce about some license plate scanner.
Alex gave Joyce a look silently asking if it was safe to sneak Steve through the door and Joyce mouthed 'quickly' before responding to Hopper saying "weeks?"
Alex rushed Steve out of the cabin as he shoved his shoes on. "Go, go, go." Alex whispered yelled. Once Steve was halfway out the door he turned around and give his girlfriend a quick kiss goodbye before running away.
Alex shut the door with a huge smile on her face and turned around to see Joyce with a smug look. "Shut up." Alex said walking back into her room.

"That keycard opens the door, but unfortunately, the Russian with that keycard also has a massive gun." Dustin explained. The four of them were in the break room, Dustin was pacing, Robin was fiddling with her scooper and Steve was sat across from her with Alex's legs laying on his lap.
"Whatever's in this room... Whatever's in those boxes they really don't want anybody finding it." Dustin continued.
"There's gotta be a way in." Robin insisted.
"Well, you know...I could just take him out." Steve suggested. Alex snickered trying not to laugh. "Take who out?" Robin questioned.
"The Russian guard." Steve stated. Alex couldn't hold it in any more and burst out laughing.
"What? I sneak up behind him, I knock him out and I take his keycard. It's easy." Steve looked at the laughing Alex feeling slightly hurt that she didn't think he could take him out.
"Did you not hear the part about the massive gun?" Dustin questioned. "Yes, Dustin I did and that's why I would be sneaking." Steve emphasised.
"Well if we're planing on 'taking them out' I might as well do it." Alex suggested giving the boys a knowing look. "No, that's too dangerous. Trust me I can do this." Steve insisted. Robin looked confused between the exchange. How would Alex be any better?
"Well, please, tell me this and be honest. Have you ever actually... won a fight!" Dustin rose his eyebrows.
"Okay that was one time-"Steve began only to be cut off by Dustin. "Twice. Jonathan a year prior."
"Listen. That doesn't count." Steve defended. "Why wouldn't it? Because it looks like he beat the shit out of you."
"The only reason you didn't get any more injured by Jonathan was cause the cops showed up, you also deserved it then. And I'm the only reason Billy didn't kill you." Alex explained.
All of a sudden Robin ran out of the room. "That just might work." She mumbled before grabbing her and Steve money from the tip jar.
"Robin! Hey what are you doing?" Steve called out as the three of them ran out the room after her. "I need cash." She informed.
"Well half of that's mine? Where're you going?" He questioned. "To find a way into that room, a safe way. And in the meantime sling ice cream, behave and Alex? Make sure he doesn't get beat up. I'll be back I. A jiff." Robin ran off making Alex laugh.
