Alex was sat at the table eating breakfast when El stood behind Hopper with a sheet over her head. "Oh! Jesus." He exclaimed when he was startled by El's presence. "Ghost." She stated.
"Yeah I see that." he said placing more toast onto Alex's plate who smiled at him. "Halloween." El continued. "Sure is." Hopper sighed. "But right now it's breakfast. Okay? Come on, lets eat." He insisted.
"They won't see me." El persisted. "Who wouldn't see you?" Hopper asked taking two more plates to the table. "The bad men." El answered. "What are you talking about?" Hopper said in a bored tone. "She wants to go trick or treating." Alex explained, understanding what El was trying to say.
Hopper looked at El. "You know the rules." the voices were faintly heard in Alex's head so she grabbed her Walkman and put her headphones on. Ever since the day at the hospital she would listen to music when she would hear voices to calm herself down. They had helped a lot and Alex began learning how to control her powers.
Hopper nudged Alex's arm to get her attention. the girl took her headphones off and looked at him. "I'm getting off work early. We're gonna eat a load of candy and watch a scary movie by 5:15." Hopper explained. Alex smiled widely, excited to spend time with her sister and Hopper.
"Halfway happy." El said. Hopper reached over and messed with the hair on Els head and hit Alex lightly with his shoulder.

It was break when Billy walked up to Alex. "Hey." he said leaning against the locker next to Alex's "Hey. she responded. "What yo doing now?" He asked her. "I was planning on studying in the library. Why do you ask?" She answered.
"Wanna grab a bite to eat somewhere?" He asked. Alex thought for a moment and looked to see Steve and Nancy walking down the hallway towards her. Steve's arm was round Nancy's shoulder and Alex filled with jealousy. "Sure. Why not? But we can't go anywhere with too many people." Billy's eyes furrowed slightly but he agreed and began walking out of the school with her.
Alex stopped in front of Steve and Nancy. "I won't be studying with you in the library I've had a change of plans." Alex explained glancing at Billy who stood there waiting. Nancy smirked at Alex and told her to "Have fun." But Steve only glared at Billy, the look going over Alex's head but not going unnoticed by Billy or Nancy.
Billy and Alex continued to leave the school and walked towards Billy's car. They drove to a local diner and got something to eat, talking about random things. Alex truly did enjoy Billy's company. He may seem like an ass at first but once Alex got to know him he she could tell he was just a broken teen.
Billy was extremely confused however. He never let his guard down with anyone. But there was an unspoken sense of understanding between Alex and Billy. Billy felt comfortable around her. So he felt as if he could let his guard down with her. After they had eaten Billy and Alex drove back to the school. But Billy didn't get out all he did was look at his hand that was on the steering wheel.
"You got feelings for that Harrington kid. Don't you?" He asked her. Alex looked at him for a moment before sighing. She knew Billy was interested in her and she wanted to feel the same. But she couldn't when she did have feelings for Steve. "Yeah. Yeah I do." She answered.
There was a moment of silence before Billy spoke up again "Good luck with that." He said smiling slightly at her. "I'm truly sorry Billy. We can still be friend?" She offered.
"I can do friends." He responded.
