It was the next morning and there still wasn't anyone at home. Alex decided to leave her house and go find either Hopper or El. On the way she ran into Dustin burying a cat. "What happened to mews?" She asked the boy who spun round quickly and looked at her. "I- urm... Actually it's great you're here." He said.

"It is?" She asked confused. "I found this slug in my trash and it grew into a mini Demogorgon and ate my cat. I need your help to stop him." Dustin explained making Alex's eyes go wide.

"You found a mini Demogorgon?!" She exclaimed. "Yes. He's locked in my basement. Now lets find more people." He said and began walking to his bike waiting for Alex to climb on the back, sending a wave of deja vu through both of them.

With no luck from the wheelers Dustin began to walk off  when Alex had an idea. "What about Steve?" She asked. "Harrington? I mean... I guess." Dustin shrugged getting back on his bike. To get to Steve's house they had to bike past the forest by Alex's cabin. Luckily they didn't have to bike past there as they say Steve parked there about to walk around the wooded area with a bouquet of roses in his hand.

"Steve!" Dustin called out. Steve looked at the two confused. "Who are those for? And why are you about to go walking in the woods?" Dustin asked. Steve didn't answer only glance at Alex quickly. "You know what it doesn't matter. Do you still have that bat?" Dustin asked snatching the roses from Steve and walking towards his car.

"Bat? What bat?" Steve asked. "The one with the nails." Dustin stated as if it was obvious.

"Why?" Steve asked looking to Alex for an explanation. "I'll explain on the way." Dustin said climbing into the back seat of Steve's car. "Dustin massively messed up and put everyone in danger." Alex explained as she got in the passenger seat only making Steve more confused.
