"Alright, everyone! Welcome to Paris!" A man shouted.

Florence found everything she needed to officially move to Paris. "We'll get everything done for you as soon as possible, ma'am."

Florence thanked the staff member before heading off to see things about Paris.

Looking around, it definitely felt busy. Stuff was being put up for the Olympics, people were rushing around trying to find a place to stay, and several cars drove by as she kept on exploring her new surroundings. It was like a crazy dream for her, a dream that became nothing except for reality.

Now that she was finally here and ready to begin her new life, she got the official news about where she'd be staying the next day.

1 day to the Paris Olympics

After finding somewhere to stay for the night, Florence left the next morning, with all her stuff packed. Everything was already paid for her to be in Paris, so she was here to stay. But where in Paris was she staying?

"You'll be staying...nowhere."

"I beg your pardon?"

"We don't have anyone listed paying for your housing, so you can't stay anywhere."

"This can't be possible! A businessman helped me pay to come here and live here!"

"Unfortunately, ma'am, he's not listed here for a house or apartment purchase for you. I apologize, but you have to leave and find a job here."

Furious, Florence exited out.

Exhausted from carrying her things, she stopped after 45 minutes of walking and decided to look around her again.
Paris looked very vibrant and ready for the Olympics to begin tomorrow.

"Who said the Olympics would start on a Sunday? Doesn't everyone here, myself not an exception, have something more gracious to do?" Florence angrily groaned.

Then she realized this was going to be a difficult time because the businessman did not help pay for every tiny nickel he had in stock. It didn't matter to her anymore. She knew it wasn't worth complaining about, so she went to look for the job that would, hopefully, help her discover her future, even if it was very simple, just something that could help her pay for everything she needed now. While it wouldn't be easy, it would certainly help her situation.

Before moving anything, she took out her French book to practice her French conversation. While it did grow strong over the years, there were still certain words and phrases that were rather a struggle to comprehend.

Eventually, she did try to figure it out. She left the mark that had rejected her and soon found herself somewhere else.

It took time, but in a couple of hours, she found a potential spot. They were hiring, good for her, and they were also offering a bonus. Obviously, it was in French, but Florence easily understood exactly what the signs were saying.

It was a place called Gustav's Coats and Shoes. She entered the shop, bright eyed and ready to bring on what she could do in this brand new place.
