Chapter 6-Business Blossoms

June 17th, 1924

One month went on, and everyday, Gustav's English improved furthermore. Florence helped him get ready to try again and hopefully make their candidates realize that they were the best business partners.

June 20th, 1924

Finally, the day arrived.

This was the moment.

This was their chance.

Or rather, this was the chance that Gustav could change everything about the company.

He and Florence walked in that morning, as usual, and they got ready to present to the visitors.

All morning, they rehearsed their scripts and made sure everything was great for the company.

Finally, noon arrived, and in came the owner that would potentially become Gustav's new business partner.

Sometime passed, and the visitor seemed convinced that this could work.  It took time and a bit more convincing before he had a final decision.

As Gustav and Florence discussed the business with one other, the visitor kept on thinking like it was a never ending sport.

Finally, he had decided to work with them. Gustav and Flornece thanked him for his time. Once his car drove off, Florence jumped up in the air, feeling so happy for her boss and friend.

"You did it, Gustav!"

"No, we did it."

"What should we do to celebrate?"

"Florence, you know the Olympics are still in town. Let's go!"

The two of them arrived at the main area of the Olympics, and had ended up being seated in the exact same spots as they did at the opening ceremony. They were unsure of how coincidental it was, since that happened almost two months ago.

The entire time, they occasionally looked at each other and felt flustered to be in each other's presence, both proud of what they had done to improve Gustav's business in the past month. They were both very grateful they had each other and Florence was happy to have come here because she met Gustav.
