May 4th, 1924
The Paris Olympics begin today!

Florence woke up, a bit confused on where she was. Then once she started to look around, she realized she was in Gustav's place. She got out of bed and went to the small kitchen. Gustav was making breakfast for them both.

"Bonjour, Gustav! Good morning!"

"Hello, Florence, what would you like for breakfast?"

"I'll take the croissant."

"Here you are."

"Why, thank you."

"It's my pleasure."

After breakfast, they headed out to the area where the Olympics would open.

Once they arrived, Florence took out her day umbrella and opened it. Gustav was a bit surprised, but he didn't say anything about it. It reminded him of his days as a child and teenager in Switzerland.

The opening ceremony started, and it was a dazzling display, not just where Gustav and Florence were, but all across Paris, and even the world.

As they watched, Florence reflected on what happened the day before this. Not having a home, nor a job, nor knowing where to go, and suddenly, she had it all, all thanks to Gustav.

Once they returned home, Florence gave Gustav a peck on the cheek.

"Thank you. Thank you for sheltering me, for finding me a place to work, for helping me find my place in Paris."

"You're welcome, Madame Florence."
